I took a friend to bally and told them that I needed a month to month membership. The sales person told me to sign a paper which allowed them to withdraw money out of my bank, and then two months later I had told them that I wanted to close the account but they told me that I signed a 36 month contract. I had agreed to sign the paper that allowed them to withdraw money from the bank a month to month bases but never did i agree to sign a 36 month contract and because of this they are a bunch of liars and deceivers and now I am stuck with three memberships.

Classic Ballys Move

#2Consumer Suggestion

Mon, January 01, 2007

This is a classic Ballys move. They prey on people who do not read what they sign. However, you are the one at fault for not reading the contract you signed (I know it is 4 pages long and you didn't want to look like an idiot in front of your friend). There is a bright side. From what I've heard from other people in the same situation, Ballys will usually work with you to correct the problem because they know that this happens all the time. If the manager at the gym won't take care of the problem, call corporate and get ahold of a regional manager to work with you to resolve it.
