Make no mistake about it:  Banfield Pet Hospital's primary concern is your money, NOT your pet's care.  As a new pet owner, I was foolishly sold on the Wellness Plan.  Although I was told I could make a one-time payment and then make monthly payments, I was never told that I was signing a year long contract and obligated to pay for the entire year.  And of course, while running my dog through a battery of tests (mind you, he was current on all of his shots and had a clean bill of health) they called and informed me that there was an unusual number of heart worm cases recently (it was in Denver during the winter) and that I should pay for heart worm medicine.  I've since spoken with a vet that informed me that was complete lie, simply another upsell by a corporation hellbent on squeezing revenue out of each visit.

If you're like me and most other pet owners and want the best for you animal, go find a local vet whose only goal is providing quality care, not stealing your money.

I went to Banfield one time for a very minor problem with a pet because they were close. They tried to ream me with a bunch of extra services too. (and didnt really seem concerned about the issue at hand) I said why dont you guys take care of the s**t that needs to be taken care of?

They did, but now I know what theyre about. Good shill attempt banfield employee.
