Banfield The Animal Hospital unable to diagnose very pregnant cat, overcharging for RX,rough handling of 20 yo cat! Falls Church Virginia
I have been a loyal customer of this veterinary clinic for the past few years. HOWEVER,I started to doubt my choice in July 2007 when one of the vets could not correctly diagnose a recently adopted stray 5 weeks pregnant cat without x-rays,which I refused. The vet suggested I just schedule a $300 spay ASAP,which I did not feel comfortable doing since the kittens were already nearly viable. Then,I recently brought my 20 yo 6.5 lb. cat in for a biannual blood test.I almost snatched him up and left,as it required 3 incompetent employees to restrain him,one with a grip around his throat! Then,to add insult to injury, they sold me meds for him (thyroid RX) for $130 which I ordered from petmeds.com for $45!! They have obviously shifted their focus from caring for animals to make $$ to making $$ as being the priority.
