Seriously, it seems like BofA doesn't appreciate my business. Two days ago (7/1), I make an ATM deposit of a check made out to me. But, when I checked my statement, I find this:

Description: ATM DEPOSIT CORRECTION-DR-CANNOT VERIFY ENDORSER; AN ATM DEPOSIT FROM 07/02/08 HAS BEEN ADJUSTED. UNABLE TO VERIFY ENDORSEMENT OF CHUCK XXXXX PAYEE(S) FDES NCA

Posting Date: 07/02/2008

Amount: $XXXX.00

Type: Debit

Account Number: Checking-XXXX

But, I am the endorser. So, thinking that this is a mixup, I call customer service, and the agent tells me that there's nothing she can do about the matter, and that (since Chuck has been a nickname for me) I will need to fax over government-issued document stating that I go by Chuck.

Now, considering that I'm overdrafting since the funds aren't in my account, the company that issued me the check will be closed for the holiday, and I have other bills coming up, it seems like Bank of America is going through all this trouble just to collect NSF fees.

As someone who moved to LA with not even an extra pair of underwear (I mean that literally) and sleeping on the street in Skid Row, I've dealt with hustlers on a daily basis. Money has never been a major concern for me as God has always sought to it that my needs were met; however, I do like to legally eat and have a roof over my head. With that being said, if someone who is well-to-do wants to hustle me out of cash like a homeless crack addict, I distrust humanity a little more. But, when a corporate institution hustles like a crack addict, I've tend to have no faith in this country.

I know that the business of doing business is to make money, but, again, when a bank stoops itself to the level of a dope fiend just to hustle a couple of dollars out of me, that's when I'm concerned. It seems like this institution is trending into the position of a slumlord.

When you opened the account, BOA has yu sign a Customer Access Agreement or a Signature Crad (or something similar) so that they would have a valid record of your signature. How did you sign that document as compared to how did you endorse the check? However the document was signed is how your endorsements on checks should be written.
And I just have to ask: Since your moving without extra underwear and are living on "Skid Row", are you using your laptop with wireless internet or the library's computers to post here?
