Signed up for NFL rewards mastercard 2006, promised 2 tickets to superbowl with 200,000 reward points. Reached my goal of 200,000 points waited for tickets to be available for this years game as it is in Florida where I live. Tickets became available May of this year new price 300,000 points. I called spent one and a half hours on phone was told I would have a written response to my request in 30 days. After 30 days no response called back was given song and dance by Bank of America and NFL rewards rep. Promised by one Susan Smith rep from BAC that I would recieve a written responce from her boss in mail by July 2. No response came I called back on July 8 spent another hour on the phone and the process is now starting all over like a bad night mare. The worst part of this story is they are still advertising when you sign up for cards 2 super bowl tickets with 200,000 points. A full 2 months after denying me tickets.

I get 1% of all net charges added back to my bank account. They settle up each quarter. OK, this isn't a pair of NFL tickets, but at least I have no hassels.

I never felt good about CC with complicated awards programs involving points.
200,000 points sounds loke a lot of charges, and as you have found those points can suddenly loose value. Maybe you should check with the banking regulators, but most CC reserve the right to change their rules any time they please & you must use their arbitration venue if you have a problem. And- surprise- you will probably loose in their arbitration venue.

Once I have my 1% cash rebate in my account, it is MINE. Cash only looses value with inflation.

NFL TICKETS

RE: NFL TICKETS - My suggestion, get a copy of their current and past ad which promisses you the tickets with 200,000 points. Make sure you read all disclaimers and conditions for getting the tickets. If you still feel you are entitled to the free tickets contact the Bank's Chairman or Chief Executive Officer in writing via Certified Mail. Send him an outline with whom you had dealt in the bank (by name, date and time) and their response, or lack thereof. I did this and resolved my issue with the bank within 45 days. If you have a few bucks, try this method, buy the least amount of Common Stock possible and contact Investor Relations. They hate having a p.o. investor on their hands, regardless of the size of the investment. If you play it smart, they may think you have a substantial investment in BofA. I do not know your State Laws, but I think you can also take the Bank to Small Claims Court. Check with an attorney or the Court Clerk. Simply ask if she has a record of a filing with the Bank beinf the Deft. If yes, I think you can sue the Bank in small claims. Yes, they have tons of atty's., but the potential negative publicity will make the Bank usually settle with you. The other Dept. within the Bank which cares about your claim is their Marketing Dept. Do a little research, find out who is the Sr. VP of Marketing and send him also a Cerified Letter with your claim. Your tickets are pennies to bank and they do NOT need bad PR over such a minor (to them) issue. HWH - Buffalo
