I was trying to do a refinace with my current bank (Bank of America). I was assigned a loan officer in Plano Texas.

Within a few weeks he started to ask for information that I feel is beyond the statue of limations: Asking for a letter fror an appartment address that was 27 years old. Wanted to know if we left on good terms any unpaid bills etc.

He also asked for 6 months of of my bank statement: He picked out random checks such as 100 made out to cash and asked for details as to why I wrote the check ...dinner movies etc.

He also repeated asked about checks written for my cemetary plots?

He also repeatedly accused us of lieing about our income. He has pay stub s W2s and tax records. He repeatedly wanted letters written by employer (which I never gave him) stating that this is all the money we made, was still emplyed and working daily.

Right after I paid for the house appraisal  we parted ways as he asked for more checks, employement informations and cancelled checks again. I have since been trying unsuccessfully to get the release of my appraisal. He and his boss Rachel Hanson refuse to give my the release. Dont return phone calls to myself, my bank or current loan officer.

I do NOT recommend bank of america for any type of home loans. They are pricey uncaring and very uncooperative. They will dig into every part of your private life including your burial plots and still want more personal inforation.

Because YOU want to re finance YOUR home that is why they are asking these types of questions. YOU seem to think that THEY should JUST give YOU whatever amount YOU request. It no longer works that way and you only have your fellow citizens to blame for the situation. If THEY had not so terribly defaulted on the loans YOU wouldnt have to answer such questions. But with the market crash in 2009, NOW banks have to ensure that the ppl they are loaning money to will ACTUALLY be able to pay it back. NONE of the FINANCIAL questions are inappropriate to the situation. YOU are just a self entitled twit who wants the world to work the way YOU want it to. Either answer the question or dont but dont expect that they are going to give you one thin dime if YOU are not going to co-operate.
