Bank Of America Looking for a new bank. PLEASE BEWARE OF BANK OF AMERICA Kansas City Missouri
I too have been ripped off countless times by bank of America! Redbox fee's for $1.03 have been charged $35.00 fees! There would be MORE than enough money in my account to completey cover all 8 of my transactions but because one automatic withdraw would come in earlier than expected, instead of having one $35 dollar fee for the one automatic withdrawl, I would be charged $35 x 8 for all of the other transactions. Not because of the order that they came in but because the one automatic withdrawal was the larger of the 8, so it skipped all the other transactions that would have cleared fine and instead posted first!!!! That is completely RIDICULOUS!!!! I was told that there is no rhyme or reason or actual procedure that can be given on the bank's procedure of when and whom qualifies for a courtesy refund of bank fees, but that it's up to that particular representative and it depends on alot of things including the customers standing witht the bank. To me that is complete discrimination and it tells me that if I don't make enough money for the bank, I'm not good enough to be extended courtesy even if my acount was only over drawn less than $3.00! I completely understand that keeping good records of one's money is up to the individual but I also believe in good customer service and customer retention! I really dont think making $35.00 off of a single mother for overdrafting a bank account for $1.03 is hardly worth loosing the customer!!!!

Customer issue - again. Your bank, regardless of which one you bank at because they're ALL THE SAME, did what they're supposed to do. They honored a legit transaction. The fact you think it was done early is a dispute between the merchant you're dealing with and you - isn't it? How is it the bank's fault for doing exactly what their job is? Answer: it isn't their fault.
I look forward to your next complaint with the next bank. We'll all come together and instead of sining kumbaya, we'll sing the "I told you so" song we hear so often.

There's a report from a man named Jim who CAN'T GET his $100,000 CD from Wells Fargo bank that he took out in 1997 for his GRANDCHILDREN'S college education! There's also a report of FORGERY by Ditressed, who recently posted a Rip Off Report at the WELLS FARGO page of this site.
Make sure to visit the MERRILL LYNCH page too! I believe that St. Clair's Rip Off Report mentioned that some 'HANKY-PANKY' may have taken place.

Why didn't you change your direct deposit? It is your resonsibility to update your account information with your company. They should be able to tell you how many pay periods it will take to change.
The automatic debit coming in early is the fault of the company that sent it to the bank not the bank. You could have filed a dispute on this. Did you complian to the company that initiated it early? Where's you ROR report on this company?
Every bank that I know of processes debits from largest to smallest. About the only difference in bank processing is do they do deposits/credits first and then debits or do they do debits first and then depsoits/credits?
I'm sorry to hear this happened to you but it seems from your report that the company that you should be upset with is the one the sent the auto debit early not the bank.

To read that quote & others, simply 'Google' this- RIP OFF REPORT FUEL FREEDOM INTERNATIONAL MPG CAPS, and go to the 2001 Toyota Tacoma Rip Off Report, and then to the 'Update' entitled- 'BLAME IT ON A LAWYER'.
Look at the date that this 'Update' was posted. 8/21/2007! The Dow Jones was around 14,000 on that date and it actually closed at its ALL-TIME high of 14,164 on 10/9/2007. The Dow Jones closed at 14,000 for the first time in history on 7/19/2007.
So, the date of that 'Update' was when the Dow Jones was at, or around its HIGHEST level in history, correct?
SUGGESTION: Get ALL of your money OUT of any PUBLICLY HELD BANK NOW! Cash-in ALL RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS & ALL STOCKS NOW!!! Don't take a chance! Our entire system is CORRUPT, in my opinion.

Oh, I forgot to add....
Once I was completely FED UP of being ripped off and mistreated, I closed the account. The rep gave me all of the money from both my saving and checking account and retained my debit card. This was done at least two weeks before my automatic deposit was due to come into the bank. Unfortunately, My checkwas still sent to BAnk of America. Do you know that instead of rejecting the deposit, Bank of America ACCEPTED my check on my CLOSED account!!!! I waited for a week looking for my check and all the while it was in a closed account!!!!! I called and got the complete run aroung on why this ocurred, was offered no form of restitution and was told that they plain didnt know why it happened...I even spoke with a supervisor who had no explanation. I went to the bank and was told that the account AUTOMATICALLY REOPENS if a deposit comes in. But Oh no no no! There is no way that an account that a customer requests to be closed should reopen with out that customers authorization!!! My money wasnt good enough when I asked for a courtesy refund of an overdraft fee so why is it now pure gold and can magically open an account that I closed in PERSON!!!
The bank is full of it and I would advise ALL to AVOID them at ALLLL COSTSSS! OR IT WILL COST YOU IN THE LONG RUN!!!!
