My mastercard was stolen and I needed a replacement before the weekend.  I called on the Wednesday before the weekend and Bank of America said it would cost $4, which was not on the card.  They could not take money in any other way to begin the replacement procedure.  On Friday I was credited with my SSI payment and they began the procedure of replacing my card.  I was told that an order was submitted to UPS, so I asked for the tracking number.  They said that "submitted" meant that they were ready to "snail-mail" UPS the request that I be sent a new card.

They said for an additional $13.50 it would be expidited delivery in two days.  So I paid for that also.  Then they said that UPS doesn't do weekends or holidays.  At the UPS website it says they DO do weekends and holidays.

I asked if they could tell me my new card number, and they said it would not be good until I got the card.  So, I will be getting my card on the 5th or the 6th which makes all my bills late in addition to ruining my 4th of July weekend for the kids.

The company has no e-mail address, no street address, only a P.O. Box, and the Federal Government is trusting these people with our Social Security money?

Bank of America points the finger at Social Security or the bank in charge, which is named Comerica Bank which I personally have never heard of.

In addition, I was told to activate this card or not recieve any SSI payments.  I refused the Master Card from the get go.  But was forced to take it.

And getting money off it costs from the ATM you use, in addition to a charge from BOA.

They are cold hearted and uncaring in their responses to your situation.

Does anyone know how to get away from them and still get their SSI payments?

'Google' this- WHO CONTROLS THE UNITED STATES ECONOMY BY MAJORITY 2010, and watch that video on the web to see some of the people who control most of our economy. Many of them are involved in banking, right? They should be able to answer your last question, wouldn't you agree?

Simply send each one of them a copy of your Ripoff Report with your email address and one of them might respond with an answer. Since the people at the Federal Reserve seem to be the ones who are ultimately in charge of the U.S. banking system, the U.S. government, Wall Street, and the mainstream media, they should be able to provide you with the answer.

You can also 'Google' this- WHO OWNS THE FED?, and go to the site with the 5 charts to see that the FED sits at the top of 'Chart 1'. If you go to 'Chart 3', you will see that many of those companies are listed on the stock exchange, which makes them part of Wall Street, correct? It's always best to go right to the top to get the answers, wouldn't you agree?

Don't forget to 'Google' the following videos and watch them on the web for proof that the FED controls the U.S. government and Wall Street-

AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM
FRONTLINE: THE WARNING

Good luck, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter & Facebook!

I have a credit Union, and NONE of this crap, SSI deposits are routine and NOT charged at all, Including No charge when you get cash out.

First off if you get SSI the dispursements they are now starting to require that you can only receive benefits by Electronic Funds Transfers(I.E. Direct Deposits).  They offer what is in effect a Pre-Paid Debit card for people that DO NOT have a regular bank account.  If you have a regular bank account they do not force you to use this card.  You just need to set up the direct deposit with your regular bank.

The confusing part is that you talk about Bank of America and the "bank in charge" which is Commerica.  But they are in charge of this Pre-Paid Debit card called Direct Express.

So not sure what a stolen card with Bank of America has to do with a Pre-Paid debit card.  Because it was your Bank of America Card that was stolen.  This seems to infer that you have a regular account, and there should be nothing keeping you from going into a Bank of America Branch with proof of identity and withdrawing enough cash for the weekend.  It also would not explain that if you did loose your Bank of America Card and had a card from Commerica as well, if the SSI benefits were loaded on the Commerica card why you can't use that one until you get the BofA card?  If you want to make a deposit into the Bank of America account with the Commerica funds just as with a withdraw you can go INTO a branch and they can do the transaction there.

By the way not sure what site you were looking at UPS only does Saturdays and that is with an extra fee and only for certain services.  The USPS(US Postal Service) will do Weekends and Holidays.

So unless you can clear some of this up, it looks more like a lack of understanding on your part than any RipOff.
