My Husband's grandmother past away in March of 2002 in her will she left the Bank of Cherry Creek and his uncle in charge of a trust fund she left for my husband. We thought that it was a good decision but we couldn't have been more wrong.

A month after they took charge of his money we had a meeting with them. They wanted to know if any repairs were needed on the house that we live in that was also part of the trust. We told them of all the problems and they told us they would hire a contractor to take care of it, we were ok with that because they said it wouldn't cost all that much.

First they had someone to redo the front porch that was all good except they wouldn't fix the railing in witch was in desperate need of repair. Then during the process of ripping the old wood off the concrete below started to crumble we notified the bank and they said that they didn't care and they were just doing the wood. Then they sent a heater company out and they didn't do a bad job except building inforcement came out and the Contractor B A J didn't bother to pull a permit. Once again we called the bank and they said they would take care of it.

After the heater company was done they sent a plumber out to update the water lines they did a good job also but half way done our water main broke so we had to call the city so they could shut the water off. The next day the bank and Contractor called us totally pist off at us because we called the city. They then had to hire someone to come out and rip up the yard and concrete to fix the water main.

After the water main was fixed they sent out electricions to update the wiring in witch they did a awful job we ended up calling building inspection to see if they had pulled a permit yet and to our surprise they didn't the inspector came out and completely failed the electrical work so they had to come back and try to fix it again once again they failed. We called the bank and they said they would contact the contractor.

A month down the road we had heard nothing. Then one day I got a phone call from The plumber he was wondering why he hadn't got paid yet. We told him we didn't know and he needed to call the bank and B A J a few minutes later he called us back and informed us that the bank would not pay him nor would B A J. We then called the bank and asked what was going on and they told us it was none of our bussiness.

A couple days later we got another phone call from the heater company and the same thing happened with them. Then right after we got off the phone with the heater company the electrician called with the same problem. So instead if calling the bank we called the contractor from B A J he wouldn't talk to us. Mean while my husbands uncle is getting the same response from the bank and B A J.

A couple days later the city came out and wanted to know when we were going to fix the sidewalk they had ripped up due to the watermain. Called the bank and they said don't worry about it it's already taken care of.

So then we decided to paint the house and they found out and had a temper tantrum they wanted to hire someone. After all the other experiences we said no. That pist them off royally.

So then we got more phone calls from the sub-contractors wanting to know how they were going to get paid we asked them how much and to our suprise it was much less then what appeared on the statement as in more than 50% less. Asked the bank and their response was we will not deal with you anymore and then they resigned.

We tried to sue them for the amount missing out of the account but the way his grandmother had her will set up it was impossible. Come to find out the lawyer that drew up her will was the brother of one of the trust officers. So if you think trust fund babies have it easy you are wrong because we are out about $50,000 due to this stupid trust

Knowledge is key

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, May 12, 2010

In reviewing your complaint, it is apparent that your knowledge, wisdom and education is lacking to say the least.  First, purchase a dictionary.  If you can't afford a dictionary - it is free to review at your local library.  Your taxes pay for the libraries.  If you don't pay taxes, the rest of us do.  I suggest you use them.  If you can't afford to educate yourself to gain knowledge - again, visit your local library.  Wisdom comes naturally with knowledge, education and experience.  It is a waste of everyone's time (including the bank and contractors) if you are unable to express yourself intelligently.

"Witch" = a person that used to be burned at the stake.

Pist? Seriously?

Bussiness?

It is obvious that his grandmother set up the trust for the mere fact that she trusted the bank's intelligence above yours.

I highly doubt that your portrayal of what actually transpired is accurate .... your spelling certainly isn't.
