BankCard USA Merchant Services, Inc STOLE $990.00 BEWARE THEY CLOSED MY ACCT. WHEN I ASKED FOR MY MONEY 5701 Lindero Canyon Road 3-200Westlake Village California
Signed up with Bankcard USA 2 months ago. Everything seemed fine except fees were higher than originally stated. Processed 2 transactions Aug. 5, 2008, 1 for $914.00 and one for $76.00. Both transaction were accepted by Bankcard. Days later when the money should be in my acct. They called to inform me that they would not release the money to me. Before this I had complete phone orders for as much as $699.99 with no problem. I processed this transaction in person for $914.00 and had all the paper work needed sent to Bankcard USA. They still refused to give me my money. I had to refund my customer, per Bankcard request, who lives out of state and am hoping my customer will send me the $914.00 they owe me. As of now I am out 1 new Plasma TV and $914.00. I was never given a limit or price amount that I could not exceed. I am a small business owner and this might have been enough to close my business for good. I talked to Genie, risk management at Bankcard. She decided that not only was I not to get my money, but she closed my acct. for no reason. Management will not return calls. This is very bad business. I would not recommend Bankcard USA. I am a grown man and this has made me cry.

I signed up with Bankcard 3 Months ago aswell and they have done the same thing to me sorry mr. Tan but your company is full of it. I had a charge for 2400 that i put in through the virtual terminal and have paperwork stating that the customer has approved this charge and you still will not let me have the money for 9 months.
This company is the worst card service that I have ever had. I am a 25yr old guy that just started his first business and looks like i have to close down due to the fact they took all the money that I had and now I cant buy the parts to fix these cars.
Looks like Mr. Tan is just quoting what it says in there contact but they dont follow it because in another spot on the contract it says that they dont have to give you any money for 9 months even if you have all the paper work they told you that you would need when they signed you up.
I agree with larry i am a grown man and this has made me cry and give up on my business. If you are reading this please stay away from Bankcard USA they have the worst customer service and will just close your account if they dont like what you have to say and will then keep your money for 9 months.

My name is Sharon Tan and I respond to all the complaints filed on this web site. I would like to resolve this issue with you but need additional information before I can proceed. Please provide me with your business name, address and your full name.
BankCard USA is a very reputable company that has been in business for more than 13 years. We are not in the business of holding funds for profit nor are we a company that doesn't try to resolve issues.
There are a few reasons why our Risk Department would hold funds. The following are the most common reasons why we hold funds for verification.
1. If a merchant processes transactions beyond their approved parameters. Each merchant is given an approved monthly volume and ticket size. If a merchant goes above these approved parameters, our Risk Department may hold the batch/transaction pending verification of the transaction. Additional information may be requested to support the transaction-these would include receipts, invoices, copies of contract/agreement...etc.
2. Rejects. Every month the merchant is responsible to pay for their month end fees. This may include customer service fees, monthly minimum fees...etc. If for some reason our end of month fees get rejected, we will hold batches or ACH debit your account in effort to try to collect these fees.
3. Chargebacks/disputes. A chargeback is when a customer disputes a transaction on their credit card statement. If a customer disputes a transaction and the business goes out of business (for whatever reason), BankCard USA becomes liable for these transactions.
Please contact us with your complete information (800) 589-8200, ext. 3512.
