Bankruptcyseven.com Vincent Lopano charges $195.00 to prepare all documents needed for filing, but fails to deliver, and does not return calls for questions. Las Vegas, Nevada
On September 14, 2009, Vincent Lopano DBA Bankruptcyseven.com charged my credit card $195.00 for document preparation services. Since that time, he has yet to deliver a complete package of documents, and does not reply to numerous requests for follow up information. This company is in the business of document preparation services for those unfortunate people who are facing the delemma of filing for Federal Bankruptcy Protection. His sales pitch on the website is the thousands of dollars his company will save you by skipping the wasteful spending on a law firm to prepare simple documents for your filing. The claim is that the average law firm charges approximately $2500.00 for this service, and they charge only $195.00 saving you $2305.00 in unnecessary expenses.
The website takes you through the process of documenting all your debts, expenses, assets, income, etc. Then once you complete the data entry process, it directs you to a page where you are instructed to call their phone number to pay by credit card. There, I called the main (and only) phone number to reach the company, where I was instructed to leave a voice message. Mr. Lopano returned my call within an hour! He took my credit card information and told me I would have my forms completed quickly.
After two weeks, and no response, I called several times to their main phone number. As always, I had to leave a message. After several attempts I finally threatened to charge back my credit card transaction. Then I finally received an email with an attached document. I was told that they could not complete the documents because a "glitch" on their website omitted some information. They asked me to resubmit the missing info. I sent the documents via email with attachments. Again several follow up attempts were made to confirm receipt of the information that went unanswered. A phone call was received from Vincent Lopano saying they "never got my updated info" I resent it again. More time, and calls took place with messages. I got an email saying that the updated info was not legible. I then faxed the info AGAIN. More follow up calls, more emails. No responses. Finally the threat of chargeback again drafted a response. A simple email with an attached set of incomplete documents with no additional information updated on them, on the wrong set of forms registered to the wrong District in Federal Court. Again, additional emails requesting corrections. No response other than "they would call me, and yes, I was in the Middle District of Florida". Since then, no call, and no replacement paperwork.
This looks like a sloppy, unorganized, hack of a business that preys on the financially stressed that wants to save money that they don't have, and cannot afford to part with, in the degrading process of filing for personal bankruptcy. He either has more work than he can handle, or simply does this half baked scheme as a side profit gaining venture. Either way, he does not deliver on any promises.
