SCAMMERS.

I went on carsforsale.com to purchase a white 2012 Dodge Journey which was priced unusually low for $3,400.00. The seller emailed me :

Hi,

We have a low price on our Dodge Journey because we want to sell the car asap. The price is $3,400 including delivery to your home address. The car is in perfect condition, no electric problems, no accidents/liens/loans. The odometer shows 52,470 miles. Never been repainted. We have all the car manuals, title, documents and bill of sale on your name. We're selling the car because our son died 4 months ago in a car accident. A drunk driver hit him. He was with his fiance's car coming home. The car belonged to our son and it brings us bad memories and that's the reason we want to sell it. The last price is $3,400. Me and my husband travel a lot with our business and we want to make this deal through eBay's Buyer Protection Program. This runs and drives great and it has 6.1L V8 OHV 16V Naturally Aspirated, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering and Power Brakes.
If you need more details feel free to ask.

Here are some pictures with my car:

Best Regards,
Barbara Davis

This was still too suspicious, so I responded requesting to test drive the car, and I said that I would be bringing a mechanic to check the car out. "Barbara Davis" responded with this email:

Hi again,

The car is stored with all the paperwork in eBay warehouse number 20,in San Jose, California headquarters in container, sealed and ready for delivery. The transaction will be made thru eBay because they can protect both of us and they also offer 10 days inspection period. You'll have 10 days to test/drive the car before decided to keep it or not. If the vehicle is not like I described you'll ship it back on my expense and they will give you a full refund. eBay will hold the funds until you receive the car with all the papers work. Only after you confirm them that you wanna keep it they will release me the funds. In this way you will be able to inspect the vehicle before committing to buy it.

If you want to start the transaction with eBay reply me your full name, delivery address and your ph#no,then eBay will contact you with further instructions.

Thank you!

THANKS TO THIS WEBSITE, NOW I KNOW THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS EBAY BUYERS PROTECTION PROGRAM.
