I received a letter in the mail from Barclay Clearing House stating I had won $70,000 through a Consumers Compensation Draw by top Fortune 500 Companies as part of a promotion.

Enclosed with the letter was a $2990 check that they said was to cover my the required processing/administrative fee of $2750, which I needed to send to receive the balance of $67,010.00 within two days of my payment. It gave me the name and phone number of Richard Johnson at 1-604-710-2093 to contact for more information/verification/processing and payment.

This seemed too good to be true and I was skeptical about the whole thing. The Check was written on City National Bank check with the city Hollywood misspelled, so I searched on the web for the address on the $2990 check (4920 Can Nuys Blvd, ste #213, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403) and found that it belonged to a shoe company called Chacott Iberica SA-Spain. The more a looked into everything, the more things I found suspicious. Then I found through Rip-off Report.com that others had reported this company. This is fraud and I will be sending this information to the Postal Service!
