I purchase a 96 Saturn from Bargain Auto Sales on February 15, 2005. I paid $2500 down with an agreement to make three payments of $340.29 beginning on March 17, 2005. I made the three payments with the final being on July 13, 2005 as agreed. I made the payment with a MasterCard via phone, due to the fact that I had recently moved and could not make it into the shop to pay. I never received the pink slip' for the car by mail as promised.

I went to the shop on Saturday, October 8, 2005 and discovered that the shop has closed. I called their phone number and asked to be mailed the pink slip'. I was told to call back when he was in the office. I guess the number for his 'business' is his cell number. I have called twice a day since Oct. 9, 2005 and have gotten no response.No returned calls, nothing. Now, it is evident to me that he intends to hold on to the pink slip. For some reason he's not wanting to part with it.

I held up my end of the bargain and made my payments. I am not sure what I need to do to obtain this title. The car was financed through the company. Not a bank. I am nervous that he is hanging on to this pink slip and will try to reposess the car or something even though I made all of my payments on time. I have records of my payments and all the paperwork when I bought the car, but I'm not sure how to proceed.
