I have learned a valuable, but costly lesson. In June of 2005, I signed up on-line for a 30-day free-trial for Bargain Network. Costly Lesson #1: I was seduced by the promise of a free gift -- an IPOD -- if I signed up for different services. Regrettably, I stumbled upon Bargain Network. I am certain that I cancelled within two days. (I made a note to myself but neglected to record a confirmation number.) Costly Lesson #2: Because I automatically pay my credit card bill monthly, I never checked my statement to confirm that I was not being billed. Between June 2005 and May 2006, I was charged fraudulently $39.80 monthly for a total of $467.60.

I never logged onto an account with Bargain Network and never used the service. When I called Bargain Network, the representative provided information on when I signed up, but had no record of my cancellation. The company promises 100% satisfaction.

Having discovered Rip-off Report, I am outraged, and oddly comforted, that so many people have been duped by the company. It's unconsionable that any company would no honor its pledge of 100% satisfaction.
