On 1/18/2010 I purchased a Wendy Bellissimo Crib Style 5446-0504 ($200) and a lovseat ($600) from Bargains Galore Furniture Outlet (John Martin, Owner).  Upon delivery ($60 cost), the loveseat had several stains on it and on the left top corner on the back it was ripped (could see the metal). It was not damaged when I originally purchased it on 1/18/2010.  The crib had a broken lower guide and release latch and I later found out that it had a recall on it for strangulation hazard.  I called Mr. Martin and explained the problems. He did not respond about the crib issue. He said that he didn't know why the loveseat was that way (it was delivered in an open pickup truck over 30 miles with other items packed on it). I showed the damage to the delivery men so they could verify it with Mr. Martin.

I explained that it wasn't damaged when I purchased it so it shouldn't be damaged when it's delivered. At first he said I could bring it back, but I would have to get it there. If I had a truck to do that I wouldn't have paid him $60 to deliver it. (I purchased it on 1/18/2010 and it wasn't delivered until 1/27/2010 - after I called to complain).  When I told him I didn't have a way to get it back to him and thought he should pick it up, Mr. Martin then told me that he wouldn't refund it at all.  Then he hung up on me.

He didn't care that he was delivering items that were damaged or unsafe.  He is selling baby cribs that have recalls on them and in my case faulty release safety latches and a recall.
