Bark Off - TeleBrands $10.00 item turns into a $90.91 credit card charge Van Nuys, California
On April 30 I ordered a Bark Off for $10.00 plus shipping charges. I was promised a 2nd Bark Off for no charge except for shipping. My total charge wound up being $90.91. I immediately called the company -- it was closed. I e-mailed immediately asking them to cancel the order except for the original $10.00 plus two shipping charges.
I called Monday a.m.. (No, I did not get the person's name). They could not find my order and suggested the e-mail had probably done the trick. They told me to call back Wed. just to make sure. I called Wed. -- they still couldn't find the order and told me it had been cancelled.
Today, June 8, I received the order. I got 2 small boxes, each containing 2 Bark Off units.
I called and spoke to Abby (MLM5015) and got Conf. #12165740 and told her about the fact that I had cancelled and they still sent it. She offered me $15.00 to keep the order. After a very long conversation, I told her I was sending everything back but really felt ripped off and taken advantage of.
After that conversation, I looked at Ripped Off Report and found numerous complaints against TeleBrands -- with the same kind of issues. I am really mad at myself for not checking your report first. I also noticed that there were no rebuttals.
Lesson learned. Thank you for this service and your report.
