Barnes & Noble defective Nook replaced with used unit Glastonbury, Connecticut
On Oct. 3rd I bought my wife a nook as a birthday present. Within 38 days, the nook would turn pages on it's own, or open a new book many pages into the book. I contacted Barnes & Noble about the problem and they offer ONLY to send a used Nook as a replacement, OR issue a store credit ONLY ! At over $150.00 for an e-book reader, I feel this is shabby customer relations. BEWARE buying from Barnes & Noble !

Just about every warranty for electronics give the manufacturer the option to send you a Refurbished unit. But if you don't want to do that how much is the store credit they are offering?
If they are offering you a $150 store credit, what would keep you from using that credit to buy a NEW one from the store?

Most warranties are like that

Just about every electronics warranty I've seen give the manufacturer the option of sending you a refurbished unit if yours turns out to be defective. Nothing new there.
