Complaint Review: Barnett Tree Care

Barnett Tree Care Top Of The Line Tree Service Roger Barnett difficult, unfair, and drunk Shoreline, Washington

We had Roger come out to take a look at a leaning fir in our yard. He smelled of alcohol in the middle of the afternoon, so right away me and my wife were nervous. He was short with us, rude, and didnt seem to care about retaining our business. He only seemed concerned with his own goals, and never once during the estimate did he ask our opinion - pointing out pointless problems on our property, im guessing to pull more money out of our pockets. Needless to say, we avoided his service, and went with a more reputable, larger outfit that actually seemed to care about us as customers. Unless you want to waste your time getting barked at by a bad businessman, dont bother calling Roger Barnett Tree Care.

Pleased Barnett Customer Disputes Complaint

I do not believe the complaint filed here. I have been a satisfied customer of Barnett Tree Care for 2 years. They have been to my property 3 times and have expertly removed a dozen trees from my difficult to access back yard.  They also provided expert emergency service to a neighbor when two trees fell on their house.   I have recommended Roger Barnett to several neighbors. His prices have always been fair.  Unlike the other contractors I shopped, he didn't try to pump up the estimate or exaggerate the work needed. He shows up when he says he will and even calls an hour prior to coming to make sure I am still on schedule.  While Roger and his crew may look "rough," they are tree guys who are skilled, clearly know their craft and respect their customers.  I certainly have never "smelled alcohol" or suspected any impaired behavior.  It's a shame this site would publish an inflamatory report like M.W. Jameson's without requiring some evidence or corraboration.

First, I have no record of ever being contacted by a M W Jameson, in Carnation, or anywhere. It has been about two years since I did even one estimate in the town, and 7 years since Barnett Tree Care did our only job there, a multi day DED killed elm removal for Scott Estes, who was very pleased with our work and skills. Carnation is out of our normal service area.

The report about being drunk is further evidence that I was never there. I've never been drunk in my life, and sometimes go weeks or more without even having a beer in the evening.

Perhaps Mr Jameson can refresh his memory, or help me recall this meeting which I have absolutely no memory or record of, and set the record straight.

I have been serving the Puget Sound area since 1975 and have  a stellar reputation. To have it wrongly sullied like this, for no known reason, is baffling, and disconcerting.
