I bought a car from Baron Auto Mall. When I went to refinance the car; Teachers Federal Credit Union stated that Baron Auto Mall charged me $11,000 over the price of the car in Kelly Blue Book. The price of the car was $24,000. On my bill of sale the price was changed to $31,000 and there is a $22563.23 finance charge. Total price of car $56767.12 I also traded in a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero XLS. Maxima had 48,000. Mitsubishi 125,000. I pay $750.00 per month car payment. Please help this single parent out of this pickle.

Baron Auto Mall Help For ALL!

#5Consumer Suggestion

Wed, March 21, 2007

OK. I to bought a car from Baron Auto Mall in Medford. Mike P wore me down, knew I was doing this for the first time with so so credit. I told him I could only afford 200 a month. After hours of waiting it came back, approved for 482.00 a month! He SWORE, he would take me to the Teachers credit union and refinance that after making 2 payments on time would get me to 188.00 a month. To my upset, ZI signed...with the TRUST ME I do this all the time. Well, as we left his last words to me were..

" Wells Fargo is going to phone you within 48hrs and you MUST say YES to everything....That was my first red flag. So, after agonizing on the 2 payments they said the firl was on vacation I could go myself.

Well, they said unless your score is 640 or above, no way would I get 188. In fairness and to baron's happiness, my credit score actually went DOWN in Jan. of 07 from something from 1998 which I am taking care of but a single parent to ZI told them to take it back and of course ...no way.

BUT, I wondered about the Wells Fargo thing and since I left the dealer that night in Nov with not one shread of paper...I mean not a copy of a single thing since I thought it was going to be mailed, I called Wells Fargo, told them my story and they mailed me everything they got from Baron...

WELL WELL WELL...SOMEONE at Baron sent in my credit application with SO MUCH FALSE INFORMATION! SO much so Joe the manager asked me how did I get that piece of paper!!!!!!!!!!! WEll, I faxed a copy of my Baron Application to WElls Fargo Fraud Dept and sure enough they have issued a repurchase demand to them. Not to say this is over. They can refuse and then you have to get in touch with the district attorney to file charges. There is much more to this story and I will post more this weekend but my advice to ANYONE thinking of going to Baron because of your bad credit....FORGET IT!

I was told now...too late by so many people and even a few high priced Dealerships that Baron is BAD NEWS....DO NOT DO IT and if you did and your not refinanced like they promise, get a copy of the credit application from the bank you got your loan with and compare it to what YOU filled out to Baron, if it is changed...FIGHT IT! I pay over 1800.00 a month in rent but Wells Fargo was told my rent was 350.00!!!! That I was at my apartment for 5 years! HA, this complex has only been renting for 3! This was a total rip off and the owner of Baron sleeps very welll I am sure.
