Complaint Review: Barry pope

 I found Barry pope online I needed credit repair was very friendly & knowledgable he explained he likes to help people & also said he was a professional radio host. His prices were very cheap that should have been my first red flag. I asked him how do I pay for the services he said straight into his account I explained I was not comfortable with doing it that way. I asked could I do PayPal he said no then I said I would find another company because of something goes wrong I want to be able to get my money back he tried to convince me he has been doing this over 30years and never had a complaint I stay firmed with PayPal or nothing. He finally agreed to PayPal. Prior to him getting the funds he answered all my calls once he got the money, it was hard to reach him he never answered phone or emails. 3 weeks of me trying to reach him I finally called him from a different number he answered the call & was shocked it was me he stated some internal problems had went wrong but I would start seeing results the next week. There were no results again two weeks later no response to text calls or emails. I contacted PayPal they did their investigation and within 48hours they had refunded my money.

Word of advice when dealing with people on the internet when they request funds via there bank account, money gram or any of those ways you have no recourse to get your funds back if they don't deliver the services always use paypal where you can get funds back. Also I should have did more research in the beginning had I done that I would have seen he was a scam artist.. lesson learned.
