In June of 2005 we purchased a puppy from these people via their website. He is a white boxer and we paid $700 for him. We wanted a pet boxer that was of show quality and from AKC lines.
We drove several hours away to Nacadoches and met this couple at a gas station on the side of the highway (BIG red flag that they would not let us go to their home but we were already in love with the puppy) and handed us our new dog, which was COVERED in fleas. Another red flag but at that point we just wanted to get him home.
Our new puppy had every type of parasite a dog could have: roundworm, tapeworm, coccidia, the list goes on. He also ended up with mange, which is passed genetically. It took months to rid him of all the parasites and we spent more than we paid for him at the vet. At one point our vet told us she was concerned that our puppy might not make it! Luckily he did and has grown up to be a beautiful dog that we love. I happened to stumble across this website and saw that others have had bad experiences with Bartlett's Boxers in more recent years, so I wanted to add my story here as well.
