OH MY GOSH what a joke! I wish I had seen the report written on BSA back in 2012 before enrolling my daughter in this joke of a program. Nothing has changed two years later, in fact, it may be worse. New coach with same program issues! Anyone who tries out, makes the team. My daughter was on the 6th grade team, playing with 4th and 5th grade players, many of which could not even catch a basketball, no less dribble or shoot.

The focus was on forming as many teams as possible and collecting our dough. And they called it an Elite AAU team! Coach may know basketball, but everyone who played basketball cannot coach. Some people are meant to be commentators! The team had no press, press breakers, zone defense and no structure.

Coach had no awareness of the game situations. Many parents complained and provided constructive feedback, but we're fed a bunch of bull, by the owner of this subpar organization. After complaining, you could be assured that your child would ride the bench much of the next game. So petty! If you want your daughter to learn something with your hard earned money, look elsewhere for an AAU team!

I am a parent who has children that play for BSA. The 6th grade girls coach is amazing! She knows what she is doing over and beyond. She is for the players helping them to improve their game, their skill and development. Anyone that knows anything about basketball can watch her coach for 3 minutes and know that she is an incredible coach!  you have to dedicate yourself as a parent and a player in order to become a better player! Some parents think that 1 day a week practice is going to make them a better player well it takes more dedication than that, you have to work and practice outside of just your 1 night a week practice and you also have to do the extra skill practices that are held once a week. Nobody can wave a magic wand and make your child the player YOU want them to be! Before you go blaming coaches and the owner take a look at your actions the way you behaved! Sometimes people want to blame others when they are the ones who need to be blamed! Children are young and impressionable and how you behave and act will in the end effect who they are as a player. My children have improved tremendously but we dedicate ourselves we practice on our own outside of practice 5 to 6 days a week! In order to get better you have to have your hands on the ball all the time! do you think NBA players pick up the ball once a week if they did I can garauntee they wouldn't be playing in the NBA. Some people don't know a whole lot about basketball, they hear what someone else is saying and all of a sudden they know the ins and outs about basketball, NO that's not how it works. So before you go making harsh statements about someone or something make sure you know what your even talking about. I as a parent have had so many parents from other teams come up to me and tell me what a "wonderful knowledgeable coach we have" they even say" did she play professionally?" And I say yes she did! Sometimes before we write things about people and smear their names on something we need to really think about what we are doing to that person! I am incredibly proud to have found an amazing coach to help build my child into a great player! Which takes time and dedication on our end also, but at least she is there to give us proffessional advice and knowledge so that we as parents can encourage everything she teaches them! I am writing this only as a parent who has children in the program to help people see there are 2 sides to every story. our team at BSA we win some tournament games and we lose some tournament games but to me at this age level it's not about winning, it's about my child learning, growing ,getting better and dedication. my child has seen great improvement from this coach! And I am thankful and proud to call her my childs coach! My child has had other coaches and we have never had one better than her!

goodluck in your journey, and I hope that somewhere along the way you can find a coach that's is half as good as she is cube cause great coaches are hard to come by and she is one of the best!
