Bass_sales is a big ripoff. Stay away from them! Oh they have some good feedback also, that's why I bought from them.

I purchased a Clarion Marine Stereo in May. I had it profesionaly installed. It worked about 10 minutes. I called bass_sales and told them the problem. They would not send me another one without me leaving them a credit card #, to insure that I sent the old one back.

They immediately charged me for the new one they sent, and I also had to pay the postage to send the old one back to them. Now they say that I spilled something in the stereo, which is impossible, because it was installed in the dash, and I was listening to it when it stopped working.

So, they are not intending on refunding me at all. Now, the new one I just got has stopped working, after about 2 weeks. I guess something spilled in it too, lol. I should have listened to my installer, as he said he has installed 5 of this brand of stereo, in one mans boat, and after the 5 one, it has been working a month so far.

I have spent over 300.00 since May, and still don't have a stereo that works! I am no better than i was before I started this. Only got ropped for over 300.00. Don't buy from them unless you are prepared to get ripped off!

I will end up sueing these people , and i dont care what it cost.I had this stereo installed in the boat dash, and it stopped in the dry stack, and never seen the water..I have receipts that both radios were proffesionally installed...Both have stopped working...In the ad that they advertise on ebay says they are WATERPROOF,obviously they are not even air proof, since the 1st one never seen water with the boat.

No Rip-off Here, Just Customer that did get what they wanted

This customer first of all claims to have the radio "professionally" installed but gave us a hint that they didn't, so we told him to send it in. He wanted a radio right then and company policy is to have the radio back before sending any replacement. So the only way is to get a credit card to send out a radio then.(To prevent customers from keeping both items or sending the defective back in their own time).

Then when we receive the radio is it completely water damaged. It was clear to us that it had been under water. The radio is no under warranty if it was submersed. But because we sent another radio already, we were screwed. He all of a sudden doesn't know anything about the extreme damage to the radio. He is mad that he spent money.

We told the customer that he messed the radio up and we should charge him for it. But DIDN'T. We sent it to Clarion to see if they could fix it. The customer has not contacted us about the second radio and therefore we couldn't do anything about it. BUT THERE IS NO RIP-OFF.
