I purchased a 4 piece living room set from Bassett Furniture Direct. The furniture was all defective. I called the store immediatley to let them know what I found upon inspection of the furniture.
Reverse came Back Sofa-Back is uneven, rips in material, chips out of the wood legs, and material hanging from botttom of sofa.

Chair-Arm ripped so that the stuffing shows, piece of wood or something protruding from side of chair, as if the assembly of the chair had not been completed.
Accent chair-pattern is crooked

After many calls to both the Natick Store ant the Connecuit Store the problem has not been resolved. It's been over two years.

Bassett Furniture wanted to send someone to my home to repair the furniture. I told them I came into their store to purchase new furniture , not used furniture. They finally agreed to deliver a new set of furniture. The first delivery date cam and went, they never showed up. When I caleed they said they had lost my paper work.
Next promised delivery date came and went. When I called they said I was not on their roster for delivery. Next promised delivery date, no they didn't show up with the furniture, the delivery person broke his leg.

I told them I had been more than fair with them and no longer wanted to do business with them. I asked them to come and pick up the furniture. They refused.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau, Bassett did not respond to them. I was given another agency to contact called Bentley Consumer Action. Bassett never responded to them. I have never dealt with such rude and belittling people as the employees of Bassett Furniture, hardly fitting for people of an establishment responsible for the sale of such grossly misrepresented goods.

I don't understand how they can get away with ripping people off. It's just not right!!!!
