Purchased a battery for my Apple Mac.  Cost me 45.  Bought from this company as I thought they were UK based, but they send the cheapest rubbish that lasted less than 6 months.  Given I don't use the laptop much (I have an iPad), it was pretty poor.

Battery supposedly had a three year warranty.  Waste of time.  A manufacturers warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on, Trading Standards will tell you that.

If you pay through Paypal, you only have 30 days in which to log a complaint, after that you're on your own.

Credit card companies don't want to know unless the value is 100 or more.  Something to do with the Consumer Credit Act kicking in after this value, so unless you have a particularly helpful credit card company, don't expect to get a chargeback there either.

After contacting batteries-man.co.uk, they asked me to download a utility to check that the battery had more potential from when it was delivered from the factory and they asked me to discharge and charge the battery fully three times.

I did this and the battery utility reported the battery was only capable of a 50% charge from having left the factory - very poor.

Batteries man will not refund, they have asked me for another 30 and they will send me another battery!!

This company appear to be a UK based company, but that is very thin to say the least - the batteries arrive from Hong Kong and the emails are in broken English.

Save your money and go to a UK based store and buy yourself a decent battery.  If there are any genuine sales out there, you'd be hard pressed to find them amongst all the scammers and worse - they're allowed to get away with it!
