Bay Area Buisness Council Rip-off Stole $215.00 from me Belleair Florida
To Whom it may Concern,
In May 2002, I recieved a phone call advertising a credit card offer. The offer was for a credit card that helps you establish credit. You prepay for purchases and it appears as a regular credit card on you credit card, not a secured one. I asked the man several questions and thought it over. I agreed to the offer. I paid $200.00 over the phone from my checking account.
Then a couple of months later I recieved the packed from BABC with an activation code and letter. I mailed in the letter and a $15.00 check, they however sent this back stating it needs to be a money order or cachier's check. So, I sent them a $15.00 money order and the letter back. Now this was some time in early August. I haven't heard anything else.
The letter stated 4-6 weeks and I had kept forgeting to call until today. I called the 1800 number which is continuosly busy and the direct number has been disconnected. So I decided to look for the web site and found this scam reporting website. I would appriciate any help you can offer me in helping me to get my $215.00 back. My husband is in the US Army and I hope they know that they are ripping off people who are protecting our safety. Thank You for your time.
