Complaint Review: Bay Area Floor Care

Bay Area Floor Care failed to honor terrazo floor restoration contract.  The owner smoked in the 54 year old house that had never been smoked in.

Company owner assured us that everything that we put on the counters would be covered with palstic and no need to remove things from walls. 

We came by to check the work after the second day, found a few beer cans around the house, no plastic covering on the belongings dust all over everything. strong smell of cigarette smoke. We stopped by the next day to talk to him and we could smell beer on his breath and it was prior to noon. He left the garage door open at least three times and parked in the yard multiple times. 

After eleven days the owner claimed the five day job was finished. We went to look at it and discovered all of the floors in the entire house were polished except for the six inches around the base boards, closets and toilets.  My husband called him and he said he would come the next day to finish the floors and his wife showed up instead.  She explained to me that "they can't get close to the walls without getting on their knees and they don't do that(contract said entire floor).

We are very dissatisfied with the results and my dad's very stressful extra six day stay at my house. The good news is he did manage to replace my dad's beer he "borrowed".  My father is an original owner of Patrician Point and a Navy World War two veteran, I feel he was treated very unfairly.
