Bay Club Apartments and Decron Properties Corporation need some serious help.
After working in the apartment industry for over 10 years and living in Los Angeles apartments for over 10 years I have found Bay Club Apartment management to be one of the worst I have ever seen in my life. Bay Club Apartments is managed by Decron Properties Corp out of Los Angeles California. I waited months before sending out this report to see if I could work with Bay Club and their management but they do not respond to any requests or communication. They just yell, put up their hands, run inside their office, and shut the door.
The company that manages the managers (Decron Properties) is also about as responsive as the Bay Club Management. I have spoken with many residents that have lived here for over 2 years and this is a list of items that we came up with. These are the top concerns.
1) Unfair pricing. Bay Club Apartments charges different for residents that have the same unit. We know this because we talk to the people in the community. Maybe this is because of a prejudice or because the managers have friends that live in the building but if people have the same lease and the same unit then they should pay the same.
2) Community Spa, Sauna, and work out area have not worked and have been unsafe for over 2 years. I noticed this months back but I have found out from many other residents that the Sauna has not worked in years. Even the other night I saw two homeless bums in the sauna urinating first thing in the morning. The Mens' and Womens' sauna is broken, is unsafe, and may give people disease due to feces if they go inside to find out that it is broken.
3) No Parking. The parking is very bad in the Marina but there is almost no guest parking available at the Bay Club Apartments after 5 and the boating parking is very empty with many spaces most evenings. Of course the residents can't park there. Bay Club Apartments also charges a big extra monthly fee if you want a parking spot even through their parking garage is almost empty and only used by the management and their girl / boy friends.
3) Horrid Unit Maintenance. We have been getting the same things fixed at the Bay Club Apartments over and over again because the maintenance staff will not repair sinks, bathtubs, or other parts of the apartment correctly. The maintenance staff does spend most of their time walking around the community asking everyone what unit they live in. They won't even go away when you show them your "Bay Club" Identification. Also, the sewer system sprays waste back up through the sinks about once a month. When this happens all of the units near have a stream of smelly trash coming out of their sinks. This is enough reason alone for the Bay Club Apartments Rip-Off Report. The sink and patio paint peel off in about a month after moving in and the management will not fix it. It just looks like trash. They did put new carpet in the halls but no luck with old carpet in the units from years back.
4) Management Attitude. The management at Bay Club Apartments is very rude and does not listen to anything that their residents have to say. They are not helpful and do not consider the resident a client. They try to stay hidden in their back office as if they were scared of the residents. They also call the residents names and try to intimidate them with threats of legal action. This has become more of a problem in the last month or two and may be due to economic stress because almost everyone has moved out of the apartments. There are many patios that are empty now.
