Bay Jewels & Antiques:Luxury Line Lisa Rhodes Davenport Online Scam!!! Carmel, California
I ordered & paid for a bracelet from this business, and I never received it.Her shop on Rubylane is now closed!
On 02/12/2013,I ordered a bracelet from Lisa Davenport on Rubylane's website.
Name of business is BayJewels & Antiques Luxury line:Owner's name is Lisa-Rhodes-Davenport. Her address is 4000 Rio Road #36 Carmel,Ca. 93923,<(this is where both payments were sent)She has an alternate address, which is 22300 Homestead Road #314,Cupertino,Ca.95014
Item ID 249Levin.
Ed Levin 14k/ss bracelet price $249-
This was layaway.
03/01/13 $100 in cash was sent
03/23/13 $149 postal money order was sent
Item was paid in full.
I sent messages asking when I would receive the bracelet,to no avail! Communication during the layaway process was sporadic/almost nonexistent at best. When I sent a message on 03/27/13 as to when she would ship the bracelet,I received a one word response "tomorrow". On March 31st,she changed the Purchase Order to "sold item." On 03/31/2013,she closed her shop on Rubylane.I tried calling her phone number, and it is disconnected.
Attempted to reach out to Rubylane,& they only thing that they've done is send her several messages,& they've received no response whatsoever! Rubylane refuses to help me with a refund as well!
I was have contacted the district attorney regarding this, and also The Better Business Bureau. This is despicable! This was to be a gift for a family member. Now,I don't have the funds to provide another gift.If you are a victim, please call the District Attorney of Santa Clara,Ca. for consumer fraud! The # is 408-299-7400
I want this negative rating to be on this website on her business page,so others won't be victimized when she decides to open another business!

I finally received the money that was due to me,more than a week after it was promised. And for good measure, the website that listed the bracelet deleted all of my pertinent purchase order information, but I previously had copied & pasted it,and saved it in a folder. Now I can finally put this nightmare behind me!

Finally recieved Ed Levin bracelet on (4/24),but it is NOT the one described in Ms. Davenport's shop.
Ed Levin makes 2 versions of this bracelet: a solid 14k & sterling, which sells for $1358,and a less expensive version of the same design elements ,which sells for $530. In her Rubylane shop,Ms.Davenport stated that she was selling the ***solid gold*** version. When I finally received the bracelet after a month,it turned out to be the less expensive $530 version. I took it to my local jeweler, and this was verified.
She had promised to issue me a partial refund, and I still have not received the money yet! I was told that it would be mailed on 04/26,never received the money.Spoke with her on the phone, and she promised that it would be sent Priority Mail,& that I would get it today (05/04).Still no money! Sent an e-mail,and still no response. Going to update district attorney's office this week, and also the Better Business Bureau.
Here is the link for bracelet that was described....

She sold this bracelet for a friend,& she claimed that she was told it was the more expensive version.Mistakes happen, but when they occur, you should make it right by following through on your promises! If I don't receieve the refund,or a response within the next couple of days,I will update the DA,and the Better Business Bureau

I too had a similart experience with Lisa Davenport I threatened to call the FBI Since this is actually interstate wire fraud She finally sent me the earrings I bought for 200.00. The real culprit here and I will file a new ripoff report on them is "Ruby(ripoff)Lane All I got from them is was a form letter telling me how great their customer service was rated but no help They even removed my Email correspondence with Lisa Davenport supporting my legal claim I finally threatened to include them as coconspirators in interstate wire fraud. They enabled it to occur and covered up the evidence. Lisa Davenport did finally send me the merchandise and I will remove my report on her . I just dont understand how after 7 years you just stop dealing honestly with people. A simple Email would have made me feel like it was just a delay. Go after Ruby Lane They have no protections in place like paypal, and they honestly dont care. They will never see a dime of my money again. I spend thousands on ebay yearly. Hang in there and push until you get your merchandise
