I was billed $9,996.00 (inclusive) by Baycare Health System, and  Emergency Room Physicians for a 4-5 hr ER visit to St Anthony's Hospital (12/18) for high blood pressure, which consisted of blood work, MRI, and blood pressure medication.

The physicians time spent was about 20 minutes. Attending nurses and aids about an hour or less. Thats almost $2,000.00 per hour for simple high blood pressure treatment. This is financial dispute for service rendered at the time.

I find it egreious to be charged $3,765, for a CT Scan that could be done anywhere else for $300-$800, for isnstance. And dont give me this your are liable bullsh*t, I am perfectly aware of my responsibilites. You dont know anything about me, or my personal situation so you can piss off - jerk., it's just too bad that you dont like what I had to say.

Should we have amedical system that contiually bankrupts people for hospital visits? My friends overseas pay less that $500 a YEAR, for 100% coverage, through thier countrys social benefits program. This is system is broken and corrupt- and you know it buddy.

That is for an ER visit. If you have no insurance this is the cost of visiting the ER which is for individuals who need emergencies!!! Not for BP checks. Next time go to an urgent care. You a liable for these charges and NO I do not work for them.
