I was hired to create their new website, I followed the instructions to her specifications through six different in person meetings and five different template reviews, when the second monthly payment came due of a mere $600, she changed the format, font, home page, added in social icons and wanted me to change all accounts etc. I gladly made the changes and did my best to meet her expectations, working 120 hours in two weeks to get a 25+ page e-commerce site ready to launch. She was belligerent, demeaning, belittling and arrogant. It was not worth the hassle in trying to assist her any further.

I suggested that she upload her new website, pay the outstanding balance of $600 and leverage all of the SEO strategies that I gave her and end the working contract. She balked, writing a very lengthly email that I did not meet expectations and that that I fell short of her expectations.

Hilarious thing is now everything that I was criticized for and had implemented in her new website is now showing up on her current website. Plagarism and violating intellectual property is definitely not beneath Brit B. Her staff are all paid under the table and when I asked for the 1099, I have not heard back.

My concern with this prevoius nightmare of a client is that she expects full payment on $400 - $2,000 custom bathing suits, but it can take months for the finished product. She bragged that she had so many suits waiting for pick up or fittings and that she already had their money. I could see the racks of unfinished work for myself, as well as all of the unpaid bill notices from her bank.

I would not recommend doing business with her as a contracted worker or as a technical assistant (seamstress) as she expects staff to stay overtime without any compensation. She brags that her bathing suits are made in the USA, but she does not understand or comply with basic labor laws. If you decide to purchase a custom bathing suit, I would suggest that you pay by installments and specifically ask for adjustable straps if you order a top.

Thank you RipOff report, I was able to collect the outstanding balance of $600, so at the very least I was almost paid minimum wage for my efforts. Hopefully, Brit. B of BeachCandy swimwear will enjoy the many top SEO strategies she received at bargain basement prices. Her check cleared.
