Warning this company is a scam...  The owner of this company is a scammer by the name of Mike Orchard. I hired Beacon Investigations to perform a simple 5 hour investigation for my company. Not only did they investigate the wrong person, they charged me two thousand more than they quoted me.

When I informed Mike Orchard the President that they investigated the wrong individual and way over charged me he clearly did not care. He was just after the money. I told him that his company clearly did not have the experience and I refused to pay. So I began conducting my own investigation and found that Mike Orchard does not have any experience performing investigations. Beacon claim they have offices all over the country but found out this is a huge LIE.

I began to search on Google and most office addresses come back to a mailboxes etc or places similar. He has no locations at all except for his Ohio office.  It appears he is a one man show. He told me on the phone that he has numerous Ex-FBI agents on staff but this is a huge LIE as well.  I contacted several of these offices listed and they call go back to his only one man show office.  I spoke to several of his so called ex agents and two of them told me that they are no longer affiliated with Mr. Orchard and that he just used their reputation to try to get new work and never gave them any.

From what I could dig up he was an airline pilot flying packages for some company.  He has only been doing investigations for a short time and it shows.  Warning this guy is the biggest con artist.  Bigger than the ones you want him to investigate.  I typically do not review companies on the internet but I felt it was my duty to worn others.  I never ended up paying so I am not really disgruntled but did not want a major company or even a little old grandmother getting defrauded. I contacted the attorney generals office to see what they could do for deceptive marketing practices.  They assured me they will actively investigate it.

I encourage any one wanting to do business with Beacon Investigations or Mike Orchard to BEWARE.  I did my best so you have been warned.
