Beacon Moving and Storage Company put duplicate charges through on our credit card and will not reverse the second charge. Brooklyn New York
My daughter contracted their services to move from Los Angeles to Phoenix. They would not complete the pick up until I prepaid the balance of the invoice. This was completed and posted on May 2. Two days later they processed it a second time. Once we realized the payment for Beacon had been processed twice we contatcted them. They ignored me for a week by not responding to my emails or phone calls. I provided all the details including bank shots of the duplicate charge on my account.
I finally got through to someone in accounting who kept telling me this was impossible but she "would look in to it". A week later nothing, I followed up again and she reluctantly advised me that unbeknownst to her someone else had also processed my card and she would look after it. That was 2 weeks ago. They no longer respond to my calls or respond my emails.
I have notified my bank who will now have to start an internal review to get the charges reversed. This constitutes fraud. This is not a BBB accredited company, our first mistake, and the community reviews are terrible, full of cases similar to ours.
