Complaint Review: Beau Derma/Retiva Eye

Beau Derma/Retiva Eye A week after receiving the product, these companies suddenly added charges of $89.95 and $85.85 on my card without authorization, much like they have done to others who have complained.

I already wrote my report.  The company charged me without authorization after I signed up for a trial use of the product - $89.95 and $85.95, though I didn't authorize this.  They claimed I did since I checked some box, though this checkbox is misleading and when one finds the terms of service, it is a 10 page single spaced document that looks like an illegal contract. Among other things, this is supposed to be a trial of the product; but one can't return the product for a refund if one has opened it, and supposedly one can't return it without an RMA, which they won't give you after 14 days, though the 14 days starts from the date of the order.  However, I was able to convince the customer service reps at both companies to send an RMA after arguing with them on the phone for an hour and threatening to report them to the police and FBI for fraud.  Then, I filed an affidavit of fraud with my bank and I stopped my credit cards.  When I told them about the 200+ people who complained about Beau Derma and 2000+ lpeople who complained about Revita Eye, the customer reps said they didn't read the terms of agreement, but I guess I eventually wore them down, so they gave me an RMA number, and I'm returning the products on Monday.  I'm also interested in pursuing civil or criminal action against them, since I think they are a scam and the people who are doing this should not only be sued, but should be in jail.  From the reports I have read, the product is also toxic to those who use it.  Please write to me at publishingconnection@gmail.com, and I am trying to collect names to turn over to law enforcement, and possibly there might be a basis for a class action suit.  Though I used a credit card, it was actually a debit card functioning as a credit card, so money was taken directly out of my bank.

I cancelled my card to prevent any further charges, spent an hour arguing with customer service reps for the two companies, accusing them of fraud, while they kept telling me I had agreed to their terms permitting them to charge me, when I did not know about their terms, which I subsequently discovered is a 10-page single spaced document that it likely illegal, permitting them to charge the money for the "trial", and since you aren't permitted to return anything if you have tried the product, how is this a trial? In any case, I had only opened the package and didn't open the products, which came with no instructions for use, and I managed to convince the customer service reps to send an RMA (though they kept telling me this was after the 14 day trial) since I threatened to speak to the FBI and police and file a fraud claim with my bank. So now I have everything packed to return with their RMA, though I did file a fraud claim, and I'm interested in collecting information from others to report this to the authorities as a scam, since they should be shut down. When I mentioned to the customer service reps about the 200+ claims against Beau Derma and 2000+ claims against Retiva Eye, they said these were people who didn't read their terms of agreement (which are not easily found and claim that someone is subject to them even without reading them -- which I think makes this an illegal contract. In any case, I'd like to get names of people who are interested in pursuing this through civil or criminal action -- and I'm assisting an associate who is writing a book about scams generally. I checked them out with the Better Business Bureau -- they both have an F, given that Beau Derma has 26 complaints, Revita Eyes has 19.
