Beau James Pomeranians deceitful, cruelty, uncompassionate, rude, scam for extra money Caledonia Ohio
Purchased a breeder quality female pomeranian from this kennel. There was never any mention that it may already be bred and would consider it cruel to transport a pregnant animal without notifying the new owner of the possiblity.
After the 2nd week of ownership the dog looked pregnant to me. This poor dog had undergone a 9 hour trip plus an overnight stay in a hotel and then had been in quarantine with the 2 others i purchased from her.
I separated her from the other 2 dogs and brought her into my living room with me and delivered 3 puppies after only owning this dog for 3 weeks. All were premature and delivered not fully developed enough to live. In spite of quick efforts on a Sunday with no vet readily available i hooked up an IV to the mother right away as she seemed dazed and before i could have ever made it to a vet she died. Up to the day before she was still eating and happily wagging her tail.
I was never informed she may be bred and after taking the dogs she never answered her phone or replied to my original email so my friend said to bait her and just say you didn't know the dog was pregnant and she had puppies. Within 10 minutes the phone rang and she's rattling off that i now owe her a 350.00 stud fee. That's before i could tell her the dog and puppies all perished
I have 25 yrs of working along side a vet and vast experience in a show/breeding program and would never think of doing this to anyone.
When i first caught her off gurard she hemmed and hawed and said maybe she could replace it with another sale dog and then the next day the true phone call i expected came back, that it was all my fault, etc. I hung up once the yelling started. I had this dog 3 weeks, it was pregnant by her male, no agreement was ever made i would accept or purchased a pregnant dog and it was pure cruelty to the animal to not be stressed like she was and totally a scam to breed the dog then want stud service but not tell the new owner.
Things got worse when it turned out a girl that lives 30 minutes away purchased a puppy out of a litter from a woman she did the same thing to and she got a pick puppy back, yet that woman also had a "surprise" litter.
This is cruel treatment of an animal and unethical business practices to collect stud fees at a later date.

This woman sent photos of the dead Pomeranian mommy and babies after our initial conversation. the dead puppies bodies were covered in bits of straw!!! She left this mama and babies to die unattended in a stall in a barn!!! I would not send another Pom to this woman to be killed! Ever!!! She posted in an online Pom list of many vaccinations and treatments she had done to her without even consulting me! Her behavior was irresponsible and cruel to this little 4 1/2 lb. Pom. She has lied, sent emails from a fictitious account to hundreds of breeders in the USA alleging a bad puppy sale that never happened -and threatened me with a vicious barrage of attacks if I did not give her another Pom. She told me she had shut down other show cat breeders when she was in cats-and she would do the same to me. I told her to take her best shot-as I was not giving her another Pom to kill! She tried-and I am still here-and I will never give her another Pom of mine to kill!!!

I have been very happy working with Beau James over the last 10 years. The dogs I have purchased from her have all been in excellent health. They have wonderful temperments and have brought a great deal of joy to our family. The owner of Beau James has always been willing to answer any questions I might have about my dogs or the breed in general. She has helped me prepare my dogs for the show ring and she has given the guidance needed to become a responsible breeder of these wonderful little dogs.
I consider her a true friend and mentor and I am stunned to read the above complaint as it differs so greatly from my own experience.

I have never sold a dog or puppy to anyone by the name of Anton in all of the 39 years I have been involved in Pomeranians. The woman who posted this also sent over 1800 slanderous e-mails to breeders in the USA, posted untrue villifying information on Pom chat lists, and stated I had sold puppies to people that never happened, etc., She told me that if I did not replace the dog she would put me out of business-and that she had done that to several cat breeders in the cat fancy-as she used to show cats.
I am currently in the process of filing a suit for libel against this woman-whose name is ----- not Anton. On her website Small Thrills Pomeranians she touts the virtues of my bloodlines-but libels me at the same time. The dog described was housed in a barn-not her home-and the photos of the dead puppies she sent me and others were horrifying. They had straw on their little bodies. No one I know beds with straw if truly housed in their living room as she described. This woman also described on the Pom chat lists a variety of medical treatments done to the mother of the puppies-although she states she knew she was pregnant. Many of those treatments could have induced a miscarriage and her subsequent death. The woman picked the mother up in person at my residence-and she was healthy. 6 weeks later-she was dead.
I have copies of all the libel Ms. D--- has posted concerning this, some under the name of Anton and some under her own name on the chat lists. I can share those and her accounts of administering dangerous medicines to the little 4.5 lb. Pomeranian she got from me with anyone who may be interested in the truth.
