Beau James Pomeranians Cynthia Wallen Deceit, dissapointment, total rip-off Caledonia Ohio

My experience with Cynthia Wallen was both strange and disturbing. This woman is a cheat and cannot be trusted. I wish I would have written this report a long time ago. I have kept all documentation regarding our interactions from emails. And vet receipts.

I purchased a female puppy from her that was supposed to be show quality for $2,000. She made me wait at her home for 3 hours before she arrived home. Then it took her another 2 hours to present the puppy. Within 3 weeks of having the dog, both of it's patellas were luxating. When contacting her she said it was my fault. I explained that this was not possible because I lived in a ranch home with no steps, and the puppy didn't jump. I wasn't my fault. I also had documented testimony and x-rays from several vets that this was an extreme birth defect that she was born with. Her legs were actually twisted. I paid $2,000 for her to have surgery.

I wanted compensation for a puppy that was not show quality. Then I spent the next six months trying to get any response from Wallen via email or phone call. Finally, she agreed to give me a new puppy. She presented me with a very small(too small) female puppy. I excepted feeling defeated. This puppy seemed too small and a little out of it. Felt like I was kind of rescuing the puppy. Wallen told me she would have to mail me the AKC papers.

Guess what, she never mailed the papers. The puppy had the same knee problem. She also had black skin disease. Got ovarian cancer. Unshowable. Unbreedable. I was devistated . I love my poms and this whole thing spoiled my dreams of showing poms. I showed the second puppy for fun before her fur fell out. This woman should not be allowed to do this to people.

My Beau James Pomeranian saved a life today. Such an exceptional life gift.

I owe Cynthia Wallen the world.  Seriously.

Years ago, I read this review prior to purchasing a Beau James Pomeranian in 2017.  There was no more important purchase that I could make than my next companion.  Naturally, this scathing review came up when I did research.  Yes, this review had been on my mind. If you are reading this, perhaps you are in my shoes as of 4 years ago.  Therefore, I am writing this for you

I spent 100's (if not thousands) of hours researching online trying to find the perfect companion.  By trade, I am a "headhunter". Point being, it is my job to find "the best of the best" with humans (and why would a pet be any different?). Also, I was already experienced with the Beau James line because my dearest hyper-smart belated Poms had Beau James in great-great-grandfather ancestry. Thus, I sought out Beau James.

Despite this (seemingly unjust) review, which is a Google top result... I trusted my own ability to qualify people and purchased Lola from Beau James in 2017.  Cynthia qualified me too.  She wanted to know that her little family would go on to someplace worthy.  The Legend (Cynthia) spent a lot of time with me before (and long after) my purchase.

Fast forward to October 2021 and I am compelled to tell my experience:  I've owned Pomeranians my entire adult life.  My Beau James (Lola) enjoys 100% excellent health. She is the healthiest Pomeranian that I have ever had.  Even her teeth are remain in excellent shape, as do her hips and knees. For fellow Pomeranian Owners, you know this is Gold.

This Sunday morning, my intelligent and empathetic Beau James Pomeranian - LOLA - saved the life of an (unrelated) very sickly Pomeranian family member.  Sounds crazy, right?

You see, Lola follows me around the house and is always looking for some new way to please me.  However, today, instead of following me around the house, she stayed right next to her sickly (repeat - unrelated) household family member.  Beau James / Lola sat right next to my ailing boy (Neutrino) and refused to leave his side. Every ten minutes Lola let out a single loud "BARK", while I was on a phone call.  Indeed, I went to check on the two Pomeranians and everything looked normal from initial visual inspection.  However, Lola/ Beau James, was insistent and she kept barking "help!".

When I finally got off the phone, and upon closer inspection, I could see what Lola had been trying so very, very hard to tell me... My other (unrelated) Pomeranian was tightly ensnared within the computer the cord; wrapped 4 times over (not visible because the cord was so deeply embedded in his coat).  Unfortunately, this other Pomeranian has a severe neurological disorder that now makes him spin on his side, hence the entanglement.

Lola, my Beau James girl, seems to believe that it is her job to love and take care of everyone in the household.  Long, long story on trying to save my other special needs dog -- for another time (TMI).

Beyond my Lola's intelligence, compassion, beauty and empathy, Lola has a human-like Soul.  I don't know how to else to explain it.  She is a one-in-a-million.

I hope this review resounds with readers, as this is truly from the very depths of my heart. Lola is everything that I ever could have asked for and more.

How do you thank someone, like Cynthia, for such an incredible life gift?

Meanwhile, this bad review hurts hearts my heart.  It does not seem accurate.  It seems there must be something more going on here.  I don't want to attribute malice onto other people, but the "show" dog arena is very cut throat.  Or maybe, this was truly an outlier. I do not know the details, nor did I ever discuss this.

If anyone wants to inbox me to learn more about my experience with Beau James / Lola (including videos and photos), I will gleefully share everything about my Beau James girl.

I am real person who is impassioned to talk about my experience. I am telling you, my Beau James girl is exceptional in every way possible.

Cheers,

Michele

Warranty does not cover older Poms.

To expect that your Pomeranian be covered by warranty from cradle to grave is not realistic.  The warranty clearly states what is covered at time of purchase.  An 8 year old Pom is not covered under any warranty I have ever heard of.  Pomlover is a breeder-who does not cover the Poms sold by them under any warranty I am aware of.  Certainly not the issues she speaks of in her post.  I have not had communication with this person-so can only wonder why they would choose to libel another breeder when they do not cover their 8 year old Poms with a similar warranty.  I have had the same email for over 30 years-so I can't imagine that I was contacted by her with a problem that was covered under the warranty contract at time of sale.

Hey! Same thing happened to me, bought a $1500 girl from Cynthia, 6 months old she needed 2500$ in knee surgery and surprise, surprise, Cynthia won't answer emails or calls. My dog is 8 now, and has collapsing trachea as well even though I am a long time pom owner and know never to have anything around the neck to cause this condition. Cynthia has not integrity. Sorry this happened to you as well.

This report is a total falsehood.

ANY ONE can post ANYTHING to Ripoff Reports.  I could find no record of any transaction such as described by this person.  Show prosect puppies cannot be guaranteed to be show worthy as adults.  And I could find no evidence of a show prospect sale such as this person described.  Patellas cannot be guaranteed in most toy breeds due to their small size and delicate structure-even a small slip, jumping  or accident can tear a tendon and cause lameness. Statisitcs state that 95% of all toy breed dogs have some degree of patellar luxation.  Beau James Pomeranians have been known for soundness for many years.  The #1 American Pomeranian Club Agility Pom for 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 is bred by Beau James Pomeranians, and our dogs represented currently are 3 of the top 10 ranked Agility Poms in the USA. Many customers have exhibited in Agility with our dogs, and that takes a very sound line of Poms to withstand the wear and tear of Agility.

We are also known in the fancy to have worked against breeding Black Skin Disease (also called Alopecia X) although the incidence of this condition has risen dramatically in the breed, Beau James Pomeranians has only known of 2 reported to the breeder-incidences of BSD or Alopecia X in the last 47 years of our time in this breed.  We do offer a replacement warranty for  any show prospect puppy that does present with confirmed BSD or Alopecia X.  The puppies placed as pets are not covered under this warranty-and are never sold with Full AKC registration. We place very few breeding prospect puppies, and those are handled under the general warranty, which does not warranty against BSD, although a discount applied to another puppy can be offered on a case by case basis if such an incident ever occurs. We have a complete written health evaluation done on each puppy by our vet who is an orthopedic specialist, and all life systems are fully documented in this report.  We go above and beyond to ensure our puppies are healthy and placed in appropriate homes.  Our contract clearly states the warranty and the conditions surrounding said warranty. To warranty everything concerning a puppy is just not possible and not at all what is usual and customary in the canine fancy.
