My daughter lives in the mountain area of New Mexico. She went to Beaudry RV in Tucson, AZ to buy a 4 season trailer to be used as her year round residence. They sold her a 2006 Mountaineer and delivered it to New Mexico. There were things broken from day 1. She had no luck with getting anyone from Beaudry out to do any repair work. She had a certified Keystone repair man from Springerville, AZ come out to check things out. He saw the trailer and told her it was not a 4 season trailer and that she was going to have problems in the upcoming colder weather.

This happened the week that she was heading to Colorado for a term of college. She was planning to take the trailer to Colorado, but it was already colder in Colorado than in New Mexico. She called Beaudry's and told them what she had found out. They said that they could put on after market heaters etc. to help with the problems. She winterized the trailer. She left for school and continued to contact them, but they never made the upgrades. When she returned from college she was gone much of the spring and fall as she is a wildland fire fighter for the forest service. When she got back home in September, she found out that the trailer slide-outs both leaked and destroyed a lot of her personal belongings. Mold had grown in several cabinets and things had rusted, including an electrical outlet. There was a bit more rain which caused water to run down the walls and into the cabinets. It pooled in cabinets and under the rug. She has photos of all of this. She has had the trailer returned. Beaudry says the only problem is a missing gasket and they cannot find any leaks. They have given her an option of getting another trailer. But...they have not offered her anything that will allow her to live in her trailer. The choices are not 4 season trailers. In the meantime she has had to make payments on the current trailer as well as rent a place to live. She has asked for a return of her money, but they won't respond to that offer. She is sensitive to molds, and she doesn't trust that they can't find the problems. And even if they do she still can't live in the trailer in her colder climate. She found out that the heaters they wanted to install would still not make the trailer livable. She has gotten no where in the past year, and is having to pay a lot of extra moey. It is time for her to head back to school, without a trailer again.

I have seen reports of people having trouble with Beaudry's, especially Scott in Surprise. Do you have any suggestions (lawyer reccomendations) etc that might help my daughter? She's a student and doesn't have a lot of money for legal fees.

I have never done this type of listing before. When I checked to see my complaint, I couldn't find it. I thought that I messed up somehow and redid the text box. That time I found the posting. I didn't realize that it had been already posted the first time. I couldn't find it posted several times... if it is I apologize. Attribute it to my lack of skills in this type of computer usage!

My daughter did the check out of the trailer in Tucson. She didn't find the problems there. They delivered it to New Mexico... 4 1/2 hour drive from Tucson. They took her other trailer. They were supposed to send someone to repair the cracked shower.

Then some of the other problems began to show up in the ensuing 3 months. The main issue has been the freezing of tanks and lines due to the cold weather, which is why she told them that she wanted a 4 season trailer. She was in and out of NM. She spent some time in Colorado at school, and then several other states on forest fires. Each time she came home there were more problems, even though the trailer was not being used.

WHY?

WHY did your daughter accept delivery of a trailer in which "things were broken from day 1"? It would seem reasonable that one would request repairs for the "broken things" before turning over the money.

Also, WHY did you post this same story several times on this board? One report is sufficient for one problem.
