I am a fan of Joanna Gaines (Fixer Upper) and respect her for her Christian Family values.  I read online that she was leaving her show to work with a skin care company.  I clicked on L'etoil from the body of her statement and ordered the trial offer for anti wrinkle cream.  I agreed to pay the shipping costs and did so with my Capital One credit card.  There was no other information in the ad, therefore I assumed the shipping was my total expense.

Upon receiving the product (which was NOT L'etoile but Beaute), I was not too concerned since the shipping costs were all I had paid to date.  Later I learned that Mrs. Gaines did not endorse either of these products and declared the ad was a SCAM.  (The list of "celebrities" who alledgely "endorsed" these products is extremely long).

When my credit card statement arrived at the end of the month I saw that a company called Enticing Beauty Care and a company named Freya Skin Care had billed me for $89.95 and 99.95.  I immeditately called the Cap One representative who said to me, "It's a scam.  We get them everyday."  She then proceeded to put a stop on both payments and informed each company of my dispute.  We had a three-was conversation with Enticing Beauty.  A very rude representative with an accent that was very difficut to understand told me I had not cancelled my order within 14  days of  receipt and that I was now responible for the amounts listed above.  At that time I informed her that I was unaware of any 14 day limit nor did I want the product sent to me - payment of almost $200 for 1 and 1/2 ounces of cream was unacceptable.

There is no paper trail with the order - no receipt, no invoice and, definitely 14 day limit.  Please note:  I ordered from L'etoil, was billed for shippping from Enticing and Freya (two charges - one very small package).  In addition, the product received was called Beaute.

The web of names, products from various locations has made tracing these "thieves" difficult.  I have forwarded all information to Capital One and am  working with a rep.  At this point, Cap One seems to think I have to pay one of the disputes (Enticing) because they responded to my dispute.  However, I am not letting it go so easily!  I intend to pursue with whatever agency I can locate to stop this kind of theft.  These are CRIMINALS AND DESERVE TO BE LOCKED UP.  I am in the hope that Capital One and other credit agencies will assist in bringing these activities to a quick HALT!
