Complaint Review: Beauty Care Products

Beauty Care Products I ordered a "free" trial of weight loss supplements, I only needed to pay shipping and handling. Sounded great until 14 days and 3 hours later when I received a surprise email that notified me I was being unexpectedly billed $93.59, a "trial completion" charge. What?! Fort Lauderdale Florida

After much apprehension, I ordered a "free" trial, shipping and handling fees only, of weight loss supplements, two bottles. I received an e-mail confirmation immediately, but no information to contact them was included. If I wanted to cancel at that time I didn't have any contact information for them, not even the company name, just "Customer Support".

Fourteen days after I originally placed my order, I received two more e-mail order confirmations, an e-mail for each bottle...$93.59 trial completion charge for both! The charges were completely unexpected. I had thankfully saved the original package that the bottles were mailed in because the company name and phone number were listed on a "return address" sticker.

I called the company and expressed my confusion. I told "Apple" that I did not see that I would have any further charges after any amount of time, and there was never an amount, other than the shipping and handling, on the site that I ordered the product from.

She assured me that other customers were able to understand the terms...perhaps I am just too stupid. She told me it was too late to cancel because the trial period had expired and I would still be billed the full amount. She was going to e-mail me some sort of voucher for restaurants and shopping, however. I just wanted everything canceled, no voucher necessary.

Also, I would be charged on 8/24/16 for another shipment. But if I should be dissatisfied I could call and cancel on, or before, that date. I believe I already told her that I was canceling and wanted no further shipments, nor should I even be charged what I'm being charged.

My husband then contacted our credit card company and canceled the transaction. I called the company back immediately afterward, I spoke with "Elyse" and told her all that I had previously told "Apple". I then informed her that the credit card transaction was canceled and they would not be receiving payment.

I was then told that the company will not do business with me in the future. Yay!!!!
