14 day trial products

Ordered 9-12 and charged to credit card on 9-12

Product received 9-17 (leaving 9 days remaining in trial).
"Unless you cancel before the end of your 14 Day Trial Period (10 Day Evaluation Period + 4 Days For Shipping)"

Product was delivered with information about refunds available within 30 days. The product broke my face out the first day. I called 1-855-244-9219 to cancel and return the merchandise. I got a recording that "you are the only person in the conference call". I thought it must be phone system problem. I called on 9/24 a.m. and got the same message.  I looked on the website and called 1-855-260-1660 which was a non working cell phone number.

I looked on my credit card statement, and there were pending charges of $105.79.  This was not 14 days.

Charges were initially created by gammabeauty.com and intoxicatingeyerecall.com.  I called my credit card company who advised the pending charges had to go through, and if I could not work with the merchant I could then have them intervene.  I asked for good working phone numbers for both charges.  I was given 849-412-6809 for gammabeauty.com (this is different from website and is United Healthcare's number).  I was given 855-878-7770 for intoxicatingeyerecall.com's contact number.

855-878-7770 is a working number. I called at 10:15 a.m. and reached and employee who gave me his ID number and extension but was told the computers were down and to call back in two hours.  I called back and got the next customer service person in the call que.  I was very clear that I wanted a refund and would return the product.

His first offer was a 40% discount and keep the product.

He continued to increase the discount vs. a refund.  I was very clear and told him I wanted to return the product and I would pay for shipping as I expected to.  Finally, he gave me two RMA numbers each 18 numbers long.  The return address was the same as listed on the letter with the non working phone number.  However instead of Beauty Impressions Return it was to be addressed to Rapid Fulfillment.  Then he informed me there would be a 20% restocking fee.  I was upset.

I countered with keep 10% and I'll keep the product.  He could not do that.  So I went back to my original refund request.  He told me I would be refunded after the product was received.  I told him I could just see it now - they would say they never received the product so it was going to work like this:  they would immediately refund the charges to my card that I did not authorize and they could take the risk of not receiving the product.  He said they could not do that.  At that point, I told him money was not the issue. It was the principal of the thing and it fell under fraud. I spelled F.R.A.U.D. to make sure he understood. He came back with one more counter offer that I don't even remember.  I simply said, you must not be hearing me correctly.

Ultimately, I told him I asked for a full refund, and expected a full refund now, and that I was not hanging up until I got one. He put me on hold and came back and told me they were refunding my money and to keep the product.  I asked for a confirmation number for the product cancellation.  He had to put me on hold again and provided one.  We'll see.

Refund obtained and product does not have to be returned

I received 3 emails in response to my phone call (and I told them on the call that ALL calls I made regarding these transactions was being recorded).

2 emails with RMA numbers - one for each product.

1 email with refund information for both products.

These were standard auto-generated replies. When I read them I assumed they were attempting to create a paper trail that they were being cooperative.  I also created my own paper trail.

I replied to each RMA email separately.  I sent both using a service called rpost.com.  I have had a professional account for years, but I believe anyone can set up a free account for maybe 5 emails a month. I made sure to send mine using the option to "send unmarked registered receipt". This gave me proof of delivery of my emails.

In those emails I used the subject line "Fraud any way you look at it". Specifically I noted:

1) I had told customer service when I called that I was recording the conversation.  In that conversation I was ultimately told I would receive a full refund AND did not have to return the product. That is not what this refund information says.

2)  Their attempts to create a paper trail with a different agreement were not going to work.  I was not going to allow them to cause me further problems and I would not go away

2) The information that came with the product was sent with non working RMA phone numbers.

3)  The credit card charges were from two different domain names with product names on those websites that did not match the name of the products I ordered. I believe using separate domain names is an attempt to make a person dispute multiple billing entities.

4)  The way the process ultimately is timed, it is impossible for a person to obtain a "free trial". The way their process is timed, anyone who orders will be in a position to have to deal with them to get a refund.  That timing process in and of itself is fraudulent advertising (intentionally misleading).  The RMA emails said to allow for 72 hours to process a return (3 days). The refund says to allow 5-10 working days after that to be issued a refund ONCE the product has been returned. It was never the intent to not charge my card.

This is an excerpt from the reply I received the next day.  A copy of the refund information is also posted below.
