First of all you should have checked out information on your own about loan modifications via the government website at www.makinghomeaffordable.gov which will explain to you the entire process and information regarding loan modifications. Secondly, you should have checked out the validity of the company before you paid them. Lastly, Florida can collect upfront fees, so that information you just said, which could be damaging to business of legit companies and law firms, is completely inaccurate. The phone number to the Florida attorney general's office is 850-561-5600 and they will clarify your misinformation regarding fees and payments, or you can go to www.floridabar.org .
