It took me some time to be calm enough to write this in a decent, proffessional manner, because lord knows I have some choice words to say to this dishonest, lying, stealing, cheating, scum of the earth. This has been a VERY emotional, disturbing and heartbreaking experience. I met Becky Peckham at New Holland Horse Auction in May 4, 2015. All of the horses she was selling were ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, though there was one that caught my eye over the others. I inquired about him and even rode him, he took a bad step which wasn't enough to raise an eyebrow at, so she then went on to tell my sister and I that he had just been kicked in the knee by another horse, there was no swelling or anything so we didn't give it any second thought. She assured us that this horse has never had any lameness issues and that he was great with kids, which was perfect for us, because we run a non-profit for inner city youth at risk. Peckham had maybe 4 or 5 horses at the auction at the time, and each one that went through the ring, she "No saled" it. She had her two daughters riding these horses through the auction arena, which is apart of her trap. She gave us this story of how she drove to Pennsylvania from MA. to take her children to Hershey Park, which they have never been and she said she was in a SUPER hurry to leave the auction and get there. I purchased one horse from her, we told her we'd send pictures of him and our program kids and keep her updated to how he was doing. All is well we thought. I went to ride the horse the next day, and he was head bobbing lame. His feet were a little long so I didn't panic too much. I called the number that she had given me and it was disconnected. I shot her an email, and it was kicked back to me in error. Then, I sarted to panic. I had our Vet make an emergency visit, she performed a lameness exam and X-Rays. The X-rays showed that he had recently foundered in both front feet but there was minimal rotation, more in one foot than the other. With high hopes of no grain, not too much grass, and corrective shoeing, we thought he would be okay. My sister decided to google her name to find contact info for her and what do we see? A whole history of rip off reports. But, we still continued to look on the brighter side of things, with farrier visits every 4 weeks, reverse shoes, to bar shoes, to bar shoes with pads, multiple vet visits and x-rays over 4 months, still no soundess. At this point, I was worried more worried about the horses sake, and not so much for him fitting into the program. How could he be comfortable and how could we keep him comfortable was a daily battle. I then decided that the best bet for this sweet boy was to be put down. Running him through the auction again and selling him "AS IS" wasn't an option, I wouldn't put someone through that kind of madness. I was also worried, if that happened, would they keep up on his feet, diet, etc. and I didn't want the killers to buy him, so putting him down after investing close to $5k in vet bills and farrier bills seemed to be the best option. EVERYONE, Do yourself a favor and donn't purchase anything from Becky Peckham-Accord or from Apple Creek Stables, EVER!!!! She has a history of changing her name and the farm name. Do not become a victim, because this heartless B**** has no remorse for any living creature!!

Are you that much of a liar that you don't remember what happened? First and foremost, the horse NEVER went through the auction ring, we bought him directly from you, as you assured us that he was sound and your daughters used him all year. You sold the horse to us for $1,600 and again assured us he was sound, you said he did get kicked while he was being tied up. I also found video footage on YouTube of your girls riding this same horse "that you were selling for someone" the videos go back almost 2 years ago. And I also have our text correspondence. You are a liar, a terrible one. New Holland does know about you and your husband and I can assure you that you won't sell another horse up there again. http://youtu.be/OzGHfdTqh64

So as anyone that goes to a horse auction knows there are many kind of horses that are sold. I did transport a few horses to New Holland auction in 2015. We go to about 1 or 2 auctions each year. We sometimes bring a horse or 2 that belong to us but are often hired to bring horses for others. This particular horse that is being referred to DID NOT belong to us. We were just selling for another stable. The horse goes into the sale ring and is clearly announced selling AS-IS. That means there are NO gaurantees what so ever on the horse. The horses that belonged to us were selling "sound" meaning with no fault. This particular horse was clearly not sound the day of sale and was being sold that way. The owners may not have known what was ailing the horse or maybe they did and did not want to take the time to help him. Either way we were doing as we were told. I do like to be sure the horses do not go to slaughter. If they would be going as inexpensive as a slaughter price we would take home any we brought and try another route. This horse I believe went for 1200. That is above slaughter price but VERY inexpensive for the quality the horse appeared to be. He was a 16 hand AQHA show horse. Very attractive and very very well trained. Also obviously unsound. We did nothing to hide his soundness as he was being sold AS-IS anyway. So for these people that purchased him to complain is completely uncalled for. Any auction, anywhere, AS-IS menas AS-IS. This report that was written against me was completly unfair.
