Recently I went looking to buy a newer car. I had a bad experience with Park Ford in Tallmadge, Ohio so I decided not to buy for awhile.

I went to Bedford Nissan after they said they could get me financed as I had limited credit.

Just as it looked as if I could not find a car I was intreested in they pointed out a Ford Taurus they had recently aquired and so I took it out for a test drive. This is not what i was looking for but I wanted to improve my credit. We did the paperwork and I gave them my $1500.00 cash downpayment. This was on Monday. On Thursday, I receive a call from the Lee, the finance manager, stating that he needed to re-do the paperwork because they sold the car to me for the wrong price. Yes I am wondering.

he said my payments would increase about $15.00 per month.

I am thinking, how do you sell a car for the wrong price? Something seems a bit suspicious. I talked with the finance company and he said the deal had been approved and that he would approve the new deal if that is what we both agree to.

I don't think this is fair practice. They signed the same paperwotrk i signed and the deal should stick. How can they legally do this? I've had the car for a week now. I'm not comfortable in paying more for this car.

Be aware of these dealers like this. I will post again when this is resolved with the results.

As I had stated, here is my update upon completion of this sale. While I still don't think what happened with the "Pricing Mistake" was very professional I do realize that we all make mistakes. I will say that Lee contacted me right away to inform me of his error. After he apologized for the error I was convinced that this is NOT the type of dealership that I have had experiences with in the past. He made a mistake and he told me about it. He even gave me a great discount on the price of the extended warranty, 20% off.

So the price difference was not that big of a deal and in no way do I feel I was ripped off.

Overall I think Bedford Nissan is a good dealership to deal with. No one is perfect. And they did make good on their Mistake. Lee has been good to deal with and he did take the time to explain everything to me with the whole process and even apologized several times about the price error.

RESULTS: RESOLVED & SATISFIED!

First I would like to state that the perception that this dealer ripped me off was NOT my intention as I don't feel I was ripped off. But rather just another experience I have had with dealerships recently. I would like to say that Lee has been great and he informed me of the mistake immediately. . It was just an error on his point and the though the price of the car was wrong by $800.00 he did make it easier to accept. He was able to get the financing out to 4 years instead of 3 and he did drop the price of the extended warranty by $300.00. So I appreciate that.

Overall, aside from the mistake, I have no problem with this dealership and I would recommend this dealership to anyone. They did NOT rip me off. We all make mistakes. Go see Lee and the team there for a good deal and a good car.
