Complaint Review: Beepers & Phones

In May on 2003 I went to Beepers & Phones in the Paddock Mall in Ocala Forida to replace my husbands cell phone. He had T-Mobile service already but needed a new cell phone. I was talked into purcheasing the new Sony camera phone by some teenage girl.

I asked her want the phone included and she said that I would be able to take all the pictures that I wanted. She said that the phone had a $50 rebate also. So I wrote er out a check for $240 dollars for the phone. My husband had purchased ring tones about 1 month prior to purchasing this new phone. When the young girl called T-Mobile to tell them about the change I questioned what would happen to the ring tones. She then told me that she took care of it.

So I went home, excited to show my husband his new phone. The next day we went back tot he mall to pay his T-Mobile bill and was told by T-Mobile that we had to pay some much per picture. We explained to them that that was not told to us and we wanted to take the phone back and get our money back. We were then told that since the plan was changed the night before that my husband automatically renewed his contract for another year.

My husband only had 4 more months to go-now he had another 12.

We went back to the Beepers & Phone booth to be shunned and yelled at by the kids behind the counter. We were told that not only could we not get our money back, but we had to pay them an additional $20 restocking fee.
I asked for a manager to call me and here it is 5 months later and no call as of yet. I keep trying to get ahold of him-but he seems to never be around. Boy-sure to do wish I had his job.
