Belcher Construction lack of repairs, slumloard, the business that doesnt give a dam, screwed others too Manteno Illinois
Two months after we moved into our 3 BR duplex (Aug. 2001),a few ceramic tiles in the kitchen started to come loose. We contacted the landlord who told us they would be out in a few days to repair them. 19 Months and 124 tiles later, none have been fixed and the kitchen floor is 60% cracked, broken or loose.
We had offered to have it fixed ourselves, but he refused to reimburse. We have talked to, left messages, etc and have been blown off for almost two years.I am on blood thinners and if cut by one of the broken tiles, could be life threatening. My wife has already been cut and required stiches when she was wiping a spill. Last October, we advised our landlord that we are going to withhold rent until the problem is corrected. They have been trying to evict us since December. We have already been to court 6 times. This company should not be allowed to rent property. There are other tenants with similar problems.

4 Years after the fact, the wife of this contractor (not really the word I want to use)spots my wife in a Walgreens drug store and confronts her about how they have lost renters because my post on this website. My wife explained to her that if my post was false and had no teeth they would not lose tenants(we have pictures and plenty of witnesses). Mrs. Belcher exploded and started yelling profanities at her in the store.
After humiliating my wife in public by her childish tirade, she then starts following my wife home. My wife stopped the car, got out and told this woman that if she persisted in following her she was going to call the police. She then sped off calling my wife every word you can imagine.
These are the kinds of business people we have all over this county. These are the kind of people who truly believe that they are better than someone because they have money. Well I have news for them. Their actions only prove that they are not.
