Belks Department Store ripoff would only offer credit of $19.95 on cashmere sweater with price tag of $100 still attached and identical markdowned item of $49.95 hanging on rack. Albany Georgia
My 90 year old mother received a cashmere sweater from my daughter as a gift, with the original price tag of $100 still attached. She needed a larger size, but one was not available. An identical smaller sweater was on the rack, marked down to $49.95, which I asked for credit for. The store would only offer me $19.95, claiming that the sweater had at one time been on sale at that price, although they could back up that claim.

Did you show the salesperson a receipt, proving that you paid $100 for the sweater? If not, then what proof do you have that you are owed that amount in reimbursement? Please clarify this, as your original report lacked this information.
