I purchased a used vehicle at Bell Road Toyota in 12/2000.i also purchased an extended warranty & gap insurance through a pushy, obnoxious salesperson named Karen.

My vehicle was involved in a total loss accident in 4/02. I applied for my warranty remaining refund & gap insurance.I also filed for car rental reimbursement along w/ re-imbursement of my $500 insurance deductible (through other co.) which is covered thru this policy. My gap insurance didnt pay till 7/02.I refiled
a 2nd claim for warranty-still no answer from Karen who handles this & was told nobody else could help me!! 4/04; I decide to file one last time &the only way karen replies this time is by e-mailing major website of DAIMLER-CHRYSLER.

Karen called the very next day, stating claim has never been filed!! I provided her again w/all the numerous mounds of paperwork that I luckily saved & was told it would be 4-6weeks. At end of conversation karen rudely stated to never e-mail her again!! I was shocked a this was only way she had ever responded! Few days later I realized I DIDNT provide her w/a cancellation form whih would have automatically asked for any change of address. I clled karen & left mess on her answer machine twice. Sent a fax w/ my change of address & asked for confirmation to please ease my mind & nerves as this was 3rd time filing!!! She never responded.

A few days ago I decided to check on status of refund w/warranty co. myself. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY SENT MY CHECK TO DEALERSHIP IN JULY 2002!!!! Why would this woman put me through all of this/ She has never answered a phone call pertaining to my gap ins.also. She must have known that refund was received!!! This karen/person has totally alienated me from purchasing through her co., from buying any dodge/chrysler product or doing business w/Automotive warranty services in the future. I feel I am owed more than my refund!! She had the nerve to also be rude!

Sofiathe big problem with car dealers is they think they can do what ever they want to the car buyer whenever they want.

The good thing is once they make the Rip Off Report they are then being exposed EVERYDAY, and the process NEVER STOPS. Think about this Sofia UNLIKE the BBB, www.ripoffreport.com gets about 9,000,000 hits a day.

They know that the newspapers will not do anything to expose them because of all the BIG MONEY they give the newspaper every weekend for advertisements. Car dealers are learning that the Internet can expose their ways and they can't stop it.

I went to google.com and did an advanced search and Look what I found.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff36168.htm

By the way, go read the Rip Off Report that a guy posted as to how he felt about his car deal. Just do a search on "Mel Clayton Ford" Look at the pic's of him picketing. Seems he got fast action.

Trust me car dealers hate it when they have a picketer on the weekend. They want them GONE! It kills their sales.

Ask this car buyer how she feels about car buying.

Sofia bottom line is that car dealers only want your money. I feel that car dealers don't care about car buyers, they just need them to get MO MONEY. To many car dealers a car buyer is a necessary evil. Soon Car makers will learn that RIP OFF REPORTS and NOT DELETED!

Sofia sorry to hear about your troubles. My name is Stick and you could call me that Advocate if you want. Many tricks, lies and deceptive games are played at many car dealers. It seems to me that they will suck-up to you or kiss your a*s until you sign the dotted line. After the signing is done, they don't want to hear from you unless they dropped you in what many call a "YANK" car deal.

I can say that many F&I people are set up to sell, sell sell you anything and everything just to suck more money out of you. They will send fraudulent documentation to banks and get away with it. Want PROOF! go to this report mentioned below. When you go to this Rip Off Report read it real good and look at the second PIC REAL GOOD. Can you say BANKING FRAUD!

http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff52158.htm

Get a copy of the credit app that your auto lender has. Just ask them to send you a copy. Tell them you lost your address book/day planner and you need some of the info that you wrote on your credit application. Who knows, you might get a big surprise.

Many times if a car buy wants to cancel their over priced extended warranty the warranty company will send the refund to the car dealer and never tell the car buyer about the refund. Call it unearned extra profit for the dealer. Some car dealers will tell the car buyer that "You will not get a refund, It will be sent to your auto lender to reduce the amount you owe on your car loan."

Problem is it never gets sent to the auto lender. It gets sent to the car dealer and they keep their mouth shut and keep your money.

Sofia you said that "Karen rudely stated to never e-mail her again!!" I would post her email address on your Rip Off Report. Let others know her email address, that way if they have had a problem they can contact her real fast. Once a car dealer finds that they have made the Rip Off Report it upsets them knowing that the Rip Off Reports are something they can't hide from consumers.

Next I feel that you might want to read the following. Call it "something to read"

http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/results.asp?q1=ALL&q5=bell+road+toyota&submit2=Search%21&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0

next I feel that I need to post some "Food For thought" Many car dealers will have deceptive advertising just to lead you to them so their sales and F&I people can have their way with you before a dealer down the road gets a grip on you.

Some car dealers will say "Come join our family" What's that all about? They just want you to like them and come back again and again. This way a car buyer will fall into what I call an U.C.Z. ="Unsafe Comfort Zone.

Once you fall into this U.C.Z. a few things will happen. First you might feel that you can only trust that car dealer. You will come back again and again. If you do, they will feel that they now can go deeper each time you come back. because you are in your very own U.C.Z. They feel that you will not go anywhere else.

Think about it. If a car buyer goes to the same car dealer every time, they are known by name, and many times the buyer will say. "Well, Time to come back to you guys again and get GREAT SERVICE and buy a new car again". DUMB Never do that. You are screwing yourself in a big way!

Next, you might send your friends to your VERY OWN U.C.Z. That can be a thing you might not want to do to your friends. If you fall into this U.C.Z. you will want to believe what they tell you. You know things like what they are going to give you for your trade is fair. maybe that the price they give you for an extended warranty is the going price. Yea right!

When a car buyer creates their very own "Unsafe Comfort Zone" they screw them self's in a big way. That's not good. You need to do what I would do. That is Never trust anybody, Go to the car dealer and run that salesman ragged. Run him or her all over that lot.

Test drive many cars that you do NOT want to buy no matter what price they through at you. If you hate a black SUV, then test drive a black SUV. If you do not bright yellow, go test drive a bright yellow car. If you want a 4 door truck, test drive a 2 door small cab. Make sure you have your sneakers on, so you are ready to fun him or her ragged.

What I am saying is to wear that salesman out, run that jerk all over the lot. Once you get in a car or a truck for the test drive, cram peanut butter in both ears and take that jerk for a VERY LONG test drive. Who wants to hear his or her BS anyway.

I am telling you to run that jerk ragged until he wants to get rid of you. Then the price he will give you will be somewhat better just to get you out of there so he can look for easier prey.

Think about it for a second. How many rip off reports on auto dealers mention the fact that the car buyer was held at the car dealer for a long time. They were wearing out the buyer! So now it is the buyer's turn to run the sales staff crazy!

Treat the salesman like a fish on the line. Yank that F,,,ker all over the place. He will get tired and give give up on you and toss out a "Minnie" car deal just to get you away!

Trust me when I sold cars and I had a car buyer that was that way, I would work the desk manager and not the car buyer. I would tell the manager that if the buyer does not get the invoice price and a good interest rate that they are going to JET!

I would put fear in the desk managers head that he was going to loose an "UP" if he trys the "Rocket Pencil"

I would grind the desk manager to give up the profit just so I could get that buyer out of my face so I could get an easier buyer to deal with.

Now go to the BBB and file a complaint. If you do, no one will be able to read it unlike here at ripoffreport.com. Car dealers love it when car buyers go to the BBB. The scam is never released to any other would be car buyer. Think about it for a sec. What good is the BBB if consumers cant read other consumers complaints?

By the way "LEAVE your kids HOME" do not take your kids to a car dealer. NEVER DO THAT! Baby sitters are much much cheaper then what the car dealer can or will do to you if you have your very own family distracting you. So you moms need to bite the bullet and leave the kids at HOME!

The car dealer will use your very own family to distract you when they are tossing whacked numbers at you. You also never want your kids in the F&I peoples office. If you do, you will not like the documentation you signed once you get it home and read it. Then it is LONG TOO LATE. you are then TOAST!

Car dealers love it when a car buyer brings the kids. Your kids are used as tools for the car dealer to Rip you OFF! So take my advice on that one and hire a baby sitter.

I hope that I am helpful to all that read what I post.

Signed :)
