I rented this apartment in the Bella Norte Apartment complex on North 19th Drive over 4 months ago and have had nothing but problems and lack of action by the management.  They would not show me the actual apartment until I signed a lease.  the very minute after I signed the lease, the office worker described to me how to identify begbugs and told me they were so bad that they had had them in the office and that she had been bitten at her desk!!  The model they showed me was clean and adequate.  When I finally entered the apartment there was an extremely foul odor, cigarette burns on all the counters and a large hole in the bathtub, amimal dung in the corners of the bathroom.  I put all of these things in my move-in report plus told them that dogs were loose and dung not being picked up in the back yard.  Concerning the dogs they said I had to take pictures and follow them to find out which apartment they lived in.  I went to stay with friends for a week so they could fix things.  when I returned,  the bathtub had been patched, the odor was still there and there was some kind of bugs crawling on me.  I left again and they later told me they were bedbugs.  After 5 weeks of spraying I again attempted to move in.  They gave me a free two weeks of rent for my trouble.  After a couple of weeks and two trys at cleaning the air ducts, the odor got better.  The air conditioning has been out three times, once for three days in over 100 degree weather.

On Sunday September 7, i was awakened by the rain about 3:30, when I went to the patio door to look out, I was standing in water in my bedroom.  I called the emergency maintainance number and got a recording.  At 9 am I went to the office and was told they were too busy to vacumn up the water from the carpet as they had muliple leaks.  They said it would be a few days.  i ask to borrow a vac and do it myslef and was told that was against the rules.  I took all the furniture out of the bedroom and closed it off because of the very foul odor ( dogs do their business right outside and it is not cleaned up).  On Thursday Sept.  11 they finally came to clean the carpet and spent 10 or 15 minutes wetting it down.  They did not vac or clean in any way as the markd where furniture was sitting were still visible.  I went immediately to the office and told them and asks for fans as it was wetter than ever.  No one ever came or called me back.  Thursday evening I went out to my car to get something and when I returned the deadbolt lock on my front door would not lock.  I called the emergency maintainance number and got no answer so I went to Wal-Mart and purchased a lock and changed it myself.  I reported this Friday morning and again asked for something to be done about the carpeting and was told someone would be right over.  I waited at home until about 3:30 pm.  No one came or called.  I went baack to the office , the maintainance man was standing in there and I was told he would be right over.  He did not come.   Sunday evening September 14, 2014 I heard and electrical buzzing, smelled burning wiring in the kitchen.  The breaker tripped and turned of  all lights.  I turned the breaker back on but the hot water and kitchen light did not work.  Fearing fire I left the breakers off over night and went to the office ta agind ask about the lock, carpeting and the electrical problem.  I was told everyone was too busy with an inspection to help me.  I asked if my apartment was pert of the inspection because I needed immediate help with the un safe, unsanitary conditions. I told her I would wait there until someone was not too busy because my apartment was not fit to be in. The lady ate the desk started yelling, acalling me rude and said I was welcome to sit there all day because no one was going to help me.  I came here to see what kind of help I can get to either force the management to make my apartment safe of get another place to live.
