We have an Excel spreadsheet with all of our problems to date, however the below is in a nutshell:

Frank tried to scam us by purchasing a cheap tile that he thought was comparable to what we chose. Frank made us ship it back and go purchase the tile we initially picked out. Lou, at Floor & Decor said the tile Frank picked was a lower grade tile.

Frank had two inexperienced workers install our tile in the main living/kitchen area - and Frank agreed it was bad, but never fixed it.

The job that was supposed to take two weeks, It started July 15th, dragged on until we terminated the contract October 27th.  Frank would disappear off the radar for weeks at a time, ignoring our calls and texts. (everything is documented)

Frank had two different workers come to do our two bathrooms...yet neither are tiled correctly and neither are complete.

We paid $12,000 for cabinets to be ordered. Never happened.

We caught Frank in multiple lies:

Frank said the cabinets had been ordered, we called J&K cabinets to verify, and were told that he has not ordered them.

Frank said he would fix the floor in our living room/kitchen, but did not.

When asked why our scheduled tile guy was not at our house for two days, Frank said, hmmm, I don't know. I will check on that.   (We found out that Frank had pulled the worker from our job and sent him to another job) This happened multiple times.

We reached out to a lawyer, who sent a warning letter to Frank and Ruth Ortiz, who we were told that were in business together.   Ruth Ortiz contacted us, and apologized and gave the appearance that she was going to be on top of Frank and make sure we are taken care of.   She seemed very genuine, but wasn't successful in convincing Frank to respond to us or fulfill his committment, per our contracts.

We have asked for our money back multiple times, with no response.

We do not have one room in our house that is complete.  Every job that Frank had sent workers to do, needs to be fixed, which will cost us even more money.

We don't have a kitchen, we don't have a finished bathroom, even the walls aren't finished properly.

Since terminating the contract, we have had professional contractors at our home telling us how bad the tile was done, and that the plumbing would need to be fixed in both bathrooms.  They also said the drywall and finishing was very poor.

We don't want anybody else to go through what we did, and hope Frank Espisito never is allowed to pose as a contractor again!

Yes, we had black mold in our house, which took the insurance/remediation company 5 months to fix.  We had no control over what the remediation contractor had to do to our walls & bathrooms, etc to check for more mold, or clean out the mold.  This makes me laugh that Frank would even bring it up in the first 10 lines of his rebuttal, because that has NOTHING to do with our complaints, and he started his work on our house AFTER all of this.

The kitchen cabinets were changed due to deadlines, so Frank had us pick them out at J&K because they had them in stock, and we could get them installed in one week. The cabinets were in stock, the problem is Frank did not order them or give them the money we paid him.

The most rediculous rebuttal from Frank is saying that Mr. Basil was overseeing the work.  Um, Frank, Mr. Basil is NOT the contractor or have any experience in construction. Mr. Basil was making sure someone was showing up at our house, becuase we couldn't trust your word.

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, December 12, 2015

Mr.Basil has made allegations that are not accurate and are misleading. Upon original agreement and start of work Mr.Basil elected to stop the progression of work due to his home supposedly being invested with mold. This was done on Mr.Basils own accord despite the many requests to continue. Yet Mr.Basil made a career of hunting down his insurance company to persue claims against them for about 6 months once again delaying any work. Mr Basils actions against his own insurance company caused his policy to be in jeopardy of cancellation or with a substantial rate increase. After all Mr Basil had done to go after his insurance company which took about 6 months of wasting time it was me who wrote a letter to his insurance company to preserve his insurance despite the problems he brought on himself. Regarding Mr.Basils claim regarding kitchen cabinets he neglects to mention the mere fact that after original agreement he changed cabinet type , design, color ,layout, functionality, which he has not mentioned. Mr.Basil also neglects to mention in his many allegations that he was present most of the time overseeing the work. As Mr.Basil should understand all communication is well noted and in this communication it was agreed upon by Mr Basil any workers that do work in his home can be paid directly by Mr Basil for his own comfort level and giving him the opportunity to inspect all work to his satisfaction prior to any funds paid to such workers. This is the process Mr Basil used and did inspect prior to any payments made to ensure his satisfaction. Mr.Basil makes reference to a cheap tile he neglects to understand what was said was the travetine tile showed to Mr Basil was one of good quality no fill equal depth equal size something you should be aware of in purchasing such tile. Yet Mr.Basil on his own accord picked and purchased tile despite the proper recommendation. Mr.Basil elected to break the terms of the agreement as he noted in his allegations that was a choice made solely on his own accord. Last but not least the workmanship in Mr. Basils residence was one of the main reasons his homeowners policy was not cancelled also due to his own accord. Along with the fact that Mr.Basil also neglects to mention he had his own contractors remove and demolition all his bathrooms and portions of his interior walls while for 6 months he put entire job on hold after the original start date while he was busy taking apart his home.Despite our continued efforts to work he refused until he was done with his own demolition and working on other situations.
